Need a little account help
Evil Eye
Okay so awhile ago I got a trojan. My antivirus found it and got rid of it, so I don't think I have a problem with it anymore. But I tried logging onto my msn a bit ago and found out that the password had been changed, went onto my gw account using that email and the password had been changed as well. Is there any way to get my account back for either my msn or change the email for the gw account. I have the keys for the account since I had them mailed to my 'main' email, different from the account's email since it was bought online.

You should probably contact someone in Support.

Guildwars Email login is just an account name so i don't see how it got changed if MSN did.. unless the hacker or whatever had himself a party and hacked everything with a password on your computer. Good luck getting it straightened out. They might be able to help you at support, but they cannot restore anything lost or deleted if someone stole it.

Changing your login email on Guild Wars, isnt a straight up process, it sends an email to the new email address and the old one, so if in this case someone is trying to steal it, and you get the email and hit the link, it stops the change, so that can be traced by the support team id think.
The thing i dont get is, ok you got a Trojan and your AV got it, now depends on how long it was on the computer before it caught it, but a in all honesty it sounds more like you have a key logger or something running on your system, as "hacking" as you put it a hotmail account is not easy, espically as i believe hotmail asked 4 questions 1 being your zip code, so either someone you know did this, or you have a keylogger on your system somewhere or your not giving us all the facts.
As for your account, i would contact support ASAP and tell them you cannot get into your account and that the email etc has been changed.

It just occurred to me after what rb.widow just posted... could you possibly be typing your password wrong? Have the cap-locks key on? If you're on a laptop (I know a lot of people who play GW on a laptop) and your numlock key is on, the right side of the keyboard types numbers instead of letters.
I dunno, just some thoughts. Regardless, if after all that I can't get into my account, my FIRST step would definitely be to contact support.

If you bought your account online - was it via the in-game store? If so, you would have a PlayNC master account. you can log into that to reset/change the password for your GW account.
If your account is associated with a PlayNC master account, the login e-mail/username can't be changed.. but the password can be changed.
If you don't know the password to your PlayNC master account, or you don't have one.. your best bet would be to put in a ticket with GW support advising them of your situation.
If you do, they will require proof that your the account holder - the cd-keys, a scan of photo id (ie driver;'s license), etc.. but they can tell you what you'd need.
