[art tool] Alchemy
BlueXIV
So I just finished my summer job. Didn't feel like grind painting commissions yet, so I played around with my favorite doodletool, Alchemy.
In the process, I wondered if anyone here enjoyed using this little free tool as much as I do, so here I am, starting yet ANOTHER topic.
Here is what I did, first part is done in alchemy, second part detailed in with a bit of photoshop:
1.
2.
You can download it at http://al.chemy.org/ (just sign up or use /download/). Please feel free to upload your creations here

Edit:
Oh and a warning: this tool is meant for DOODLES and SHAPES only. If you try to get details and everything in alchemy, you are going to be very frustrated.
This is absolutely not for extremely anal and precise art. There is NO UNDO BUTTON. This is completely intentional, because it forces the artist to live with mistakes and creatively use them as a part of their drawing.
After you make your shapes, you can export them as pdfs and open them in w/e you want to continue the drawing.
If you ever get an art block, this is a great way to warm up again and pull ideas out of your... uhm. butt.
Edit2: they didn't link the download section, you were supposed to sign up for their newsletter (which I do recommend if you like the software, they don't spam you at all), then they give you a link to the download page :P
Edit3: made it into an avatar because I still don't have one XD

My untrained eye can't tell what the tool actually does. I see the difference, I just don't know what it does.

From the website Blue links to in the first few posts under 'Features', just a few clicks away...
"The Alchemy drawing canvas has an intentionally reduced level of functionality. No undo, no selecting, and no editing. Interaction focuses instead on the output of a great number of good, bad, strange and beautiful shapes."

try my documents and look for pdfs. If you want to save as, use export image. I'm fairly sure it autosaves in it's own folder too
