Hey all,

I'm naturally aware that when you have duplicate copies of a particular hero in your party it will have an alternative name "Krytan Necromancer" for example for Olias.

What I'm wondering is what determines which player (if there are 2 running 3 heroes each) will have the correct names and which will have the duplicate names.

As far as we can determine it's not based on profession, who's leader of party or alphabetical ordering of character names and I'm wondering if anyone here knows what it is, if anything?

thanks.

The first person to connect who has the hero will get the real name. The rest who connects later on the explorable will get names like Krytan Necromancer.

it bugs me to get the "secondary" name. Is that weird?

It bugs me too, but luckily I have a fast connection, so I don't have to worry about it too much.

not weird really, it just seems generic name compared to the actual name but w/e it used to annoy me when i had a slow computer but not anymore.

What if you both connect at the same exact millisecond

It's not possible to connect at the exact same time. The Server still process things one at a time, even if it handles a thousand transactions in a second. So someone will always be ahead of another.
