So I wanna take a break

I have been playing Prof for the longest time and have all the campaign and expansions, I am only in the iron mine (i have in the past jumped all over the campaigns and played an assassin, a dervish extra). I have nevere completed an actual campaign (such a shocker - sarcasm intended) and wonder if any one else here has never actually completed a full campaign or have you taken a really long break just to play another campaign?


what would you do?

I know its personal prefrence but i wanted some OPPINIONS on the subject

I've taken a break from GW to play another game, but the campaigns are part of GW so how can you take a break from GW to play...GW?

Kyle , few days ago you were asking how to do ice caves of sorrow.

you are the factor here , as its non subscription you can play one day miss a week/month ect and come back on.

As you know or should as it tells you on screen at Lions arch to name one get the quest take your prof char to nightfal..get a few heros at the start or go to factions the list is vast on what to do.


If you want a break from gw as your post a little confusing. then just dont log on.

you can criss cross campaigns and eye of north ..plus the expansion and may not get to the end of one for a little time.

People pay attention, i am asking if i should continue the paril quest of finishing prof or taking a break from....wait...lets all learn to read....not gw...but ...PROF. to play a diffrent campaighn like say nightfall or Factions, kinda change it up a bit

you should start all other campaigns at once !
and complete the one you like the most first (or easiest for you) !
that is the point of quests and campaigns : you can do them simultaneously or those you want only.
Got fed up of proph ? just go play eotn/nf or faction instead !

The campaigns arn't that long.
If you want to play it then play it...if you don't play a different one.

Ice caves is about 5 missions from the end so you may as well do it now....

aha - prof = Prophecies....

If you want to do it the easy way, do the episodes just enought to get all 3 necro heroes, cap Discord and then do whatever you want.

If you want to do it the way it's meant to be, start a new character in Prophecies, finish Prophecies, then do Factions completely, then Nightfall completely and finish with EotN. This way you will be playing the way it was meant, with skills matching the strength and skills of the foes.

I finished Factions TWICE before completing Prophecies once.

I didn't finish Nightfall until this year (a year and half from when I started!)

Hell, you don't have to finish the campaigns at all if you don't want to. Just do what you want.

Glad to see it isn't just my Universal Translator that is currently out of order.....

Prophecies is by far the longest to complete if you wish to follow the quest/mission line so taking a break and ploughing into Factions, Nightfall or GW:EN is not such a bad thing.

As others have said, mix it up. Finishing isn't everything - above all, just have fun!

I personally hate prophesies. I'd do one of the others. BUT, before you do, make sure you've done the quests Forgotten Wisdom(Arid Sea) and Heroes' Challenge (Droknar's Forge) to get your last 30 attrib points.,

I've done that. I got my Prophecies warrior all the way to Hell's Precipice (last mission) where he's been stuck for months. Meanwhile I have a dervish who has finished EotN and is most of the way through NF and Factions.

I'm about to take the warrior around the three campaigns so I can get him a sabway team to finish Hell's Precipice.

Just remember to not bring the Minion Master. Titans aren't generous with corpses.

Just to be clear I READ YOUR POST. Its worded miserably and your command of the English language is staggering. Having said that no-one can decide what you want to do. I think if you dig deep youll be able to come to your own conclusions.

I would say just quit, but I don't want to sound like a window licker, gonna leave that up to the other people OP. You are so close to the end of prophecies you might as well finish. A good 2-3 hours left unless your totally clueless, if that is the case jump to nightfall with your fave toon, get some hero's and smash on to finish prophecies.

I wonder how if you can't even finish the original campaign how can you even consider trying to finish any of the others when the original is the easier of the three, maybe not the fastest?

You don't take a break from one part of the game for another. It's not like you have ONE character slot and must play that character in one area at a time.

I'd suggest next time you ask a question you do word it a little bit better so we can understand, because if i read correctly some posts above me, someone was confused and you then threw a shitstorm of pissed off-ness about people needing to learn how to read, you need to make it understandable to read in the first place before you tell them how to read.

The game has me down as having finished all 3 but I never actually finished prophecies, used the go anywhere glitch to get to hell's precipice. I'm glad I did too because I hate prophecies and was happy to unlock hard mode without going through that long boring story.

I'm guessing you're fairly new to gw. Basically, do whatever you want. Don't like prophecies? Don't do it. You're asking people for opinions when all that really matters is what YOU want to do. Me personally, I finished all 4 campaigns on all 10 of my characters. That's just me. I know people who never finish any. YMMV.

As everyone else said - it doesn't matter, and it really isn't a big deal. If you are incapable of beating the campaign with Henchmen, go get yourself some heroes from Nightfall or EotN.
