Let me start off by saying that I've been on a break from GW for the last 4 months, and with all the GW2 hype I came back to finish off my titles for HoM. So, I went back to check all the skill changes and keep up with everything.

Now, I play a warrior running the Godmode or Earthshaker build, wich I really enjoy.

First off, what's a good hero setup I can use? I always used a hybrid monk, a minion bomber, and something else on that spot. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could use on that 3rd open spot, just a curses necro?

Also, I always used a monk as the healer, but wouldn't be better to use a N/Mo for that, is it worthwhile trading the DF hp bonus and the +1 +1 Healing Prayers bonus from it's armor, for energy?

Secondly, I'm in need of a Smiter build to take advantage of the Strenght and Honor buff, 20-25 armor ignoring damage per hit is a must in my opinion. Usually I'd just run a typical RoJ build, but with the AI scatter without some appropriate type of snare, it's a no-go. So, what's a good elite skill I can use, because everything else seems to fail to some extent.

And again, would it be better to run that smiter build on a Monk or on a N/Mo?

Think that's it, need to get acquainted with the game and builds again, I prety much forgot everything in these last 4 months.

In regards to the SoH smiter you asked about;

I find it better to run on a rit with splinter weapon with channeling at 15.

The other skills are optional really but energy management would be necessary, usually.

The 50 damage from 5 attacks with splinter more than outweighs extra benefits of running either necro or monk for that slot (as energy is fine if the rit runs OoS or something).

Silly me, I completely forgot about the rit buffs. I saw a few builds popping up not long ago but I didn't care about it that much because I wasn't playing the game. I'll see what I can dig up. I'll try your sugestion as well and see what I can put together.

Still, I welcome all sugestions. I forgot to say that eariler, this is for Hard Mode. I need to finish VQing Prophecies, work on those Guardian titles for all 3 campaigns and then move on to EOTN.

Heroes you should get:

N/Mo: Curse hero with SS, Mark of Pain, Barbs, Weaken Armor. Add 8-9 in smiting for SoH, and cast it on yourself. Other skills: Smite hex, smite condition.

N/Rt: MM hero (for majority of areas). This can be sabway MM, modified with splinter weapon, spirit rift, ancestors rage, FoF.

N/Rt sabway resto, modified with 10 in communing (for skills such as dulled weapon, vital weapon, shadowsong).

If you do with a friend, ask him to bring a OoP necro.

As for yourself, bring Ebon battle standard of honor, Hundred Blades, both sunspear/Kurz(or)Lux pve skills for further AoE damage and party-wide protection. The rest of the skills can be your own choice.

This is the SoH build I use on my smite monk

12+1+1 smiting
12+1 DF

1. Defenders Zeal [E]
2. Reversal of damage
3. Smite condition
4. Smite Hex
5. Strength Of Honor
6. Smiters Boon
7. Blessed Signet
8. Divine Boon (Pre-update.... did some awesome smite healing that way)
8. Judge's insight (since the update)

This one can easily boost the damage from 2-4 melee attackers and still pump out some nice heal and damage support. The old one was best at that, making the smite spells go for 100 healing. Defenders Zeal totally made Divine boon worthwhile. Now, he is much less of a healer. However, Judge´s insight still works with smiters boon and adds even more damage to attackers, so I suggest you go with that now.
