Quick question on Death.

In the Underworld, and a Reaper gets killed, the party fails, and does that count as a death?

Forced deaths don't count. Only deaths through damage, life steal or degen count towards survivor/death count. Resigning, failing mission due to objective fail or under a trap in for example jokonurs mission don't count.

you're not supposed to get a death from a forced death but sometimes the game screws up. I've gotten deaths from resigning on survivor chars but i think it's because i was taking some damage when i resigned.

Some say these things count as a death, others say it does not. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. A guildie of mine died in a /resign and didn't lose survivor, still had 0 deaths. But I have heard many horror stories. That mission where the ghost of Shiro kills the entire party during the cutscene has been said to count/notcount/count/notcount as far as deaths go on and off and so on over the past years Factions has been out.
So as a general pointer, if you are going for survivor, avoid all situations that include any type of death, even if your friend and the wiki article both say it does not count, it's been a rather buggy system so don't take the risk.

I have 4 survivors and resigned with all of them all the time, with no problem
Also, i always thought that dying while losing missions does count as death.
However, i quote Chrisworld..if you're unsure, try to avoid any kind of death...
