I have Prophecies and NightFall. (thinking of Factions and EoTN)
I have seen and read the threads where people were asking about which game to purchase on a budget and I usually only see and hear stuff on Prophecies, Factions and NightFall but not Eye Of the North. Why is that?
Also, is now the time to hold off and wait for GW2?
Eye Of The North?

Eye of the North is an expansion, not a chapter. Therefore, in order to play Eye of the North, you need one of the other games. You can't make a new character in Eye of the North, only bring existing characters there. Thus, for players on a budget, you shouldn't buy a game you can't play by itself.
I got my copy of Eye of the North for $10 at Target. Mostly, it is in buddle packs now but shop around.
Don't hold off for GW2, it is still years away.

Factions can also be purchased very cheap in some stores. I've seen it as low as $9.99.

And you can also get both Factions and EotN in a bundle as well for like $20.

I found an Eye of the North/Factions bundle for $9.99. Look around, you should have no trouble finding it.

Even if you werent on a budget I wouldnt recommend getting gwen before factions, 9/10 you'll use faction skills more than eotn and if ure in it for the story skipping a campaign isnt the best idea. And imo Campaigns(yes all of them)>GWEN.
