Unlucky/Lucky progression?

Hi. I thought all my lockpicks were breaking and giving me purples, and i have the titles to confirm.

I've been chest running in Fronis' lair, and I'm supposed to be getting about 50/50 break/retain ratio, but my lucky title is lagging pretty badly. Im r3 Unlucky but only at the start of r2 lucky. Waitin for a boardwalk weekend to even that out

Hmm im not quite sure what you are asking, or what you will be able to infer from any anecdotal evidence given here, but here's my "data":

about 12000 chests opened
lucky: ~2.7mil
unluck: 450000

depending on ur retain rate it will favor one side or the other, it helps to just stand in the rings to level things out a bit.

lucky, unlucky, wisdom, treasure hunter, and 30 (almost 31) other titles maxed

the ironic thing about having max retain is that there's not much reason to open chests any more

Treasure Hunter: R7 - 13,400 chest opened. Lucky: R6 - 3,563,000. Unlucky: R7 - 503,100.

Your progress in Lucky/Unlucky really depends on which chests you're using...

r2 unlucky not even halfway to r1 lucky.

But I'm not trying for either and I don't really chest run. Thats just what I have after they added the title to the game. Don't do boardwalk.

r5 Unlucky. 230k Unlucky
r4 Lucky 830k lucky

Depends alot on which chests you open like ppl said.

my unlucky is ahead of my lucky....3/2.....and I STILL break more lockpicks than I keep even with a better than 50% chance....guess I really am just unlucky

The retain/break system favors Unlucky in general gameplay. That's why there's an extra rank of Unlucky .

I get 107 unlucky points for breaking a lockpick in NM (73% retain chance).

thats alot of chest opening. do folks just run chests over and over?

i mean even if a run yeilding a chest took a few minutes your still looking at 20+ days of solid action without stopping

I ran chests outside Boreal Station last year when I was going for max TH. Ofcourse, I was running in normal mode because at that time I didn't have any plans of maxing Unlucky. But after the.. uhmmm, december (?) update, Unlucky didn't seem so far away. As most people, I too am waiting for a double lucky/unlucky weekend. Maxing unlucky shall be very easy then.
