How do I level up?
Gardenia
Hi, I'm playing pve as an Elementalist primary/Monk secondary. My problem is, that I've done all the quests needed to get two professions, and I guess I've got them (I'm a level 4).
But, when I go back to the monk I'm offered no more quests, likewise with the elementalists. Am I just supposed to go random searching the map, or go kill things or what? How do I get new quests and where?
Thanks so much for your input, I'd be totally frustrated if I didn't have the great help found here at guru.

Winston
Visit the different towns to find more quests, there are also some NPC's around the map that have quests.

As the above poster said, you have to visit the surrounding areas for additional quests. But as for myself, I dont spend too much time at all in Pre. I typically just get my skills and leave lol

Here's some sound advice on how you can lvl up.
1. get a weapon
2. get a bag of chips
3. get a soda
4. find a heavily populated area
5. then....

Thanks everyone that's working better for me now. HeHe I did barely survive a group of like 4 witches attacking me all at the same time.
I was casting every spell I had....thought I was a goner.

How do you know that he/she is in Pre-Searing?
But the statement still stands, look around the towns you've explored for some quests. they usually get you to go to another town with a follow up. I also suggest that if you really are struggling with surviving, look for an armourer that can provide better armour. or drag some henchmen/heroes along and let them do most of the work, making sure you don't get hit. Doing this, you can save up for max armour which will be 60 for you.
But if you are in Pre-Searing, ignore me until after you leave

And make sure to do all the secondary profession quests, whether you want that secondary or not, as when you are able to change your secondary in the Crystal Desert you will be glad to have unlocked those skills.

^ it looks like they have their secondary.. Monk...
Yes you sound like you are in PreSearing cause you mention quests and not missions.
Please check out www.presearing.com it is set up for presearing only.
It lists the quests and foes and has great forums. 99% of the people here can not help you cause they can not get to the area you are in. Presearing is a "training" area that happens 2 years before the rest of the game.
So check it out. You might even want to join a guild. Here I would recommend fining a Higher Level person..like 14 or higher and asking them if you can join their guild.

Hey m8! Do whatever you feel for, you know, it's a game. But if it is quests you want, go to every outpost you have and check the NPCs, if you're up to it, walk around in exporable areas as there are some quests out there. If you can't find any, there should be a primary quest (or mission), these ones will take you further in the storry (do them, you want to do the storry ), very often you'll get new quest once you are a bit further in the storry.
If you are looking to do ALL quests, then I suggest you use the gwwiki so you know you'll find them all. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Quests (to the right there is a link to list of quests, sorted by campaigns)

Fate Crusher
Wrong. Factions also holds several quests before Minister Cho's Estate, even choosing secondary profession. AND the Headmasters that do teach secondary professions provide more quests to teach players offensive/defensive/snaring/kiting.

True but he also mentioned getting jumped by witches, I have only seen them in presear. As far as leveling up, make sure you explore, there are a few quest in the explorable area, and kill everything.

I'm guessing the four "witches" are the Bandit Blood Sworn - only witch-like beings I can think of there ^_^
