Hi folks,
GW is causing a strange buzzing sound when i use headphones. I don't hear it when i'm using the monitor speakers and it only starts when i launch GW. I've tried a different set of headphones too.
It's bugging me, so if anyone hs any ideas i'd be very greatful.
Regards,

Elder III
does it do this outside of GW or in other games? One of the computers that I have does not ahve very good front audio panel connectors and when I plug the headphones in I actually pull them back out a fraction - which eliminates the buzzing...

This happens with some creative labs sound cards, or sound cards based on the XFi technology. If you are using an XFi class sound card upgrading the driver can fix it in most areas, but not all. Rata Sum is one of the areas I get it a lot and no driver update has fixed it yet.
What sound card are you using?

Hi, It only seems to be there in GW, it starts as soon as i get to the log-in screen. The case is quite new but i did try your suggestion, unfortunatly it didn't make any difference.

Hmmm... I have never heard of it happening with any sound card other than an XFi. I checked for an older set of drivers (some times they fix things that are not broke) but the oldest driver is only a few months old.

I was looking around and found this post (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1834965) where a person reported a buzzing sound with your chip set. It seems that muting PC Beep will get rid of the buzz. If you have a volume controll in the system tray double click it. You may need to un-hide it. Try muting it and see if that fixes the issue.
