Anyone canceled Aion preorder for wings?

I have a question regarding the Aion wings in GW.
I read that you could only get it if you ordered the Steelbook or the
Limited Collectors Edition. I have preordered the Collectors edition trough
4U2PLAY, but i ordered the Collectors Online Edition (Key Code) since the
box set was already sold out, so i just get the keycode for the CE. I wonder
if it is still possible then to get the wings with that or not?

And after it being transferred to a Senior Account Support, i got this reply

Hello xxxx,

The Aion wings emote for Guild Wars is only available in boxed versions of the Aion Limited Collector's Edition and the Steelbook edition. It is not available from any digital downloads.

As the date would be showing on your one with the guys name offering the refund.

Can you also quote your incident numbr that way they can tie it to the person offering the refund

I bought Aion CE from NCSoft store a long time so I decided to send feedback about it and this is the answer I got (took 2 days for them to answer if anyone is wondering.) I really hope they give the code for /aion emote to those who bought Aion CE from NCSoft store.

Ok np, so where is the place to express my opinion on the wings as I used search and found a closed topic only? Also, any new topic created about the wings gets removed instantly as I tried to post one myself. It's prolly me again not finding the right topic, that's why I ask your help. Thanks.

what some of my friends are doing sence they want c/e but its boxed version is sold out is the following. buying the steel book boxed version from bestbuy. then when game come sout there buyng the c/e dital upgrade to get collectors game cost 50 bucks then +10 bucks for c/e digital

so youre saying that when you buy the steelbook edition and then upgrade it to CE edition digitally, you will get the wings?

mabe so but I have the c/e that does not help guys who have purchased direct from NCSoft...what the main guys are aking is the way ncsoft has done this.

As stated when you make a purchase from the NCsoft Store, game codes are non-returnable and non-refundable. We are not able to refund your purchase. We understand your position, however we are not able to assist you with this issue.

But to me all they have given is Beta codes....so therefore have they given me a code for main game yet?

I am still awaiting a ncsofts reply again on the non.refundable aspect.

What is this really about you mean you need to buy Aion preorder or ce to get GW wings emote.What is this emote?

I'm not planning on buying Aion anyway, but this contreversy had made me leary about buying GW2 preorder untill all promotions have been announced.

lol a 5 second emote is worth trying to cancel a game then go to a store and pre order the same game again.
yous did read that the emote wont be up in the game until Sept 22nd, which well is aion release date.
also in a few months when PlayNc puts up something special again for those that spent X amount at there store, all these people that complain again not getting wings will complain yet again about not buying from PlayNc store. ( look at GW BMP).

you cant please everyone, and promotions fro games will always be like this, x company gives this, while another company gives that. just the way it happens.

I trust no one unless I have a physical copy in my hands. Besides I like to look(and still go through and reread) through everything that comes in the box. I still have the boxes and all contents from each of the chapters from when I first bought them years ago.

If only they stated "Digital purchase" rather than "Digital download", I would've waited to get the physical CE instead... "purchase" and "download" are two completely different words with completely different meanings -___- what were they thinking?

Where is the logic in making your customers buy your products through a third party when you can easily offer it online straight from your own business?

This kind of stuff is exactly why I didn't trust the developers enough to buy the game. I will not be playing it, and don't care to get involved at all. I am having the same thoughts about GW2, though I have enjoyed GW for over 4 years. It's unfortunate to see the lack of follow though on the quality side for the games.

It would be a nice way not to stay ignorant, instead wasting people's time telling you what you should have read for yourself.

Issue has been resolved since last week, people who pre-ordered online CAN request a wing key from support and support will give them one. This is a none issue anymore, marketing made a mistake, community pointed it out, they fixed it.
