Ascension missions

This is going to sound stupid, but I cant find the information anywhere and I'm tired of running around in game clueless of how to go on.

*sigh* Where do I get the ascension missions? where do I start them? Who gives them to me and where are they?

Ok I'm guessing you're in Prophecies. There are missions to be completed in the Crystal Desert before you can head down to the mesa from Augery Rock and triger the device down there

Explore the desert. There's a few outposts out there, and not all have missions, but you'll have to do the 3 you will find

Prophecies = Dunes of Despair+Elona Reach+Thirsty River..... then after you do those, Augury Rock.
Factions = Nahpui Quarter.
Nightfall = Only works for NF characters, but simply need to complete the quest "Hunted".

This is a bit confusing, since you don't get primary quests (or even secondary quests) that go anywhere near the missions in Crystal Desert.

The Ghostly Hero is your guide. He gives a quest in Amnoon Oasis that sends you to Augury Rock outpost. Talk to the priest there to get sent to a special area where three of Ghostly's generals will tell you a bit more about what's going on.

After that, you're on your own for a while. You have to explore the desert to find the three mission outposts. (While you're at it, find the other three outposts too, because you will need to get to them after you Ascend to learn new secondary professions. Plus there are some secondary quests in a couple of them, including the start of a quest chain that gets you 15 attribute points.)

The Ghostly Hero is in each of the three mission outposts, and he will be your instructor during each mission. At the end of each mission, you will be sent back to Augury Rock rather than the mission outpost.

After you complete the three missions, talk to the priest in Augury Rock outpost again, who will send you back to the special area with the three ghostly generals. Now you can enter Augury Rock itself and face your doppelganger to Ascend.
