Hello! I'm a level 13 Derv/Mo currently in the Eye of the North...

Just a few questions really:

When can I trade the armour guys at the momunent place? Do I have to complete the entire missions?

Skill Points, what are they? I've been buying new spells and stuff but I'm not sure if I should be? lol

Do I unlock new skills as I gain levels? I haven;t seen any unlocked thus far, also do my skills already purchased get stronger?

How come when I'm out and about killing things. I don't see any other players?

What sort of armour should I have at my level (13, DERV/MO)? So far I have standard Sunspear robes, that's it.

BE great to get some answers, thanks in advanced!

First advice, head back to Istan. You'll be missing attribute points and general tutorial things along the way.

Monument place? Not sure what you mean here, could be a few things:
* The armor in Eye of the North Outpost? - You'll get this by reaching Rank 5 in the Vanguard title. As you do more of EoTN it will become apparent how these title points work.
* The armor for you in your Hall of Monuments? - You can add "Elite" armor here which you can get later in the game from EotN or Nightfall
* The armor to upgrade your heroes in the HoM? - You get this from doing various challenge missions or quests in NF or EoTN.

If you mean something else, please explain

As you level up and do missions you'll get skill points. These will allow you to buy skills along with a bit of gold. The gold price caps out at 1 platinum. You will generally have more skill points than you know what to do with by the time you've finished a campaign so don't worry about that. By all means, buy skills that you think sound interesting.

You unlock skills from skill trainers, you'll generally find the useful ones over in Nightfall as you progress through the campaign. As I said at the start, head back to Istan and carry on with the Nightfall story. EoTN will be a *lot* more fun when you know what you're doing And you'll learn this through NF.

All explorables / dungeons / missions are instanced. If you want to play with other people you have to group up before you leave town.

You can buy max armor (Armor: 70) at Boreal Station. Though you'll probably be better off going back to Istan. The Armor merchants here are at the mission outposts: Jokanur Diggings, Blacktide Den and Consulate Docks. Only Consulate has max armor (armor: 70) the others have lesser armor level, but are appropriate for the things you'll be fighting. You don't have to buy armor at each stop.

Kamadan will sell very basic armor, but you can probably ignore that considering your level

Hope that helps you out. Shout if you need anything clarified / have more questions!

1. You need to reach rank 5 in the appropriate reputation title to buy armor in EotN.

2. You receive skills points for gaining xp or completing missions. They are used to purchase skills.

3. Nightfall does not include any skill quests, so all your skills after deciding on your secondary profession must be purchased or captured (elites) with a Signet of Capture.

4. Outside of towns and outposts, the game is instanced. Only those in your party occupy the area.

5. Available armor and other questions can be answered from the wiki - F10 or help on game menu or /wiki in chat. Outside of the game go to http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page

1. If you're talking about the Armor trader in the Eye of the North, then you'll gain access to him once you get the 5th rank on the Ebon Vangaurd reputation track.

2. Skill points are required when you purchase skills from trainers, you'll spend one skill point and x amount of gold for each skill purchase.

3. No, not just by gaining levels. You can acquire some skills from completing certain quests, or by purchasing them from trainers. As for your current skills, they will get stronger as you put more attribute points into the corresponding attribute.

4. Explorable areas are instanced in Guild Wars.

5. Seeing as how I only have prophecies, I don't know where the Lion's Arch equivalent is in NF, but usually you can go from 1-20 buying only one mid-range set of armor along the way.

tip-head back to NF and do the missions there and complete the storyline, or at least hit level 20 before you go on to EotN, as these will familiarize you with your professions.

In addition to the above comment on going back to Nightfall - by going to Eye of the North so early, you're missing out on sunspear points from the shrine bounties on the starter island in Nightfall. You get a free skill from the hero skill trainers in Nightfall each time you gain a rank in the sunspear title track, and you can get sunspear PvE skills which become increasingly powerful as your sunspear rank rises. (For a dervish: "Eternal Aura - Enchantment Spell. All nearby foes take 65...100 holy damage. For 10 seconds, nothing happens. When this Enchantment ends, all other Dervish Skills are recharged." - very useful if you want to keep your Avatar form up indefinitely.) Definitely worth heading back there and seeing if you can get your rank up a bit before you carry on to lvl20 in Eye of the North. You'll also get more low-level heroes there, which won't be as much of a pain to level up in the easier Nightfall areas as they will in Eye of the North.

He can buy max armor in Boreal Station at least, right? I would highly recommend at least that. Also, since he is already level 13, he can't get Sunspear points in Istan anymore (I think). Might as well go to Gunnar's Hold and do the Kilroy dungeon to get to level 20.
