1) NPC PvE necros, 1/2 of them has Chilblains. Make since as they can spam it until they die. Honestly Anet, could you be less creative on PvE skills?
2) Frostmaws dungeon. The entire place is booby trapped and some how I (Monk) ends up leading the team. Who the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO puts 10 Ele bats in one spot gets black listed.
3) People that doesn't know what an infuser/ether heal/infuse spammer is and /kick.
4) People that add 2 hero monks with crappy bars on a team that already has a monk and infuser. It's not like we are going to need damage or anything!
5) Wammos with defy pain + endure pain and spam their health. Might as well spam "Imma n00b!"
6) People giving to much credit to the healers. Dude, it's your attacks + great dwarf weapon that keeps everything on the floor. I'm hardly healing at all.
7) People that can only use fire magic. It isn't bad but seeing a person using searing flames constantly on a destroyer. "WTF? My spell isn't working." No shit Sherlock, it if didn't work the first 10 times why do you think it would work the 11th time?
8) People that goes AFK because the team is doing good. Which is fine to grab a snack/drink but not in a patrol path!
9) "Can I have money? I really need it badly!"
"Why"
"I got to get armor."
"I got some common materials I can spare."
"I need money."
"How much?"
"50k, I need to complete my elite set."
Oh yes, you NEED that money badly!
10) My OCD that either ends lists on 3 or 10.

People who ask to see skin. (Honestly look it up on wiki please.)
People who use their friends to increase prices in trades i.e. Person Y just offered XX Ecto.
People who speak using "1337 speak".
People who are ignorant or racist.

*gankers (i spose it gets teh job done, but still i dont need to heal anyone else if they're all killing me)
*people in shing jea who swear too much, lie about things (basically the Kids thinking they're cool)
* 1337 guilds that only allow people in if they fit the image ( apparently monks, sins, eles and mesmers are the only proffesions that can get things done here)
*rude PvPers (especially the ones that kick you because they think your build is rubbish, even if it isn't)
*rubberbanding~ if i press forwards it usually means i want to go forwards right? wrong! i actually meant to go sideways?

Unflag heroes/henchies and they run AWAY from you.
Forget to unflag them and yell at ogden/tahlkora/dunk for not healing as you die, then realize they are all greyed out.

Examples of the German UWSC pug's English lexicon:
"failer pay cons"
"f*** lag"
"no noob" (always singular, rarely pluralized)
"mnts bad spawn"
"nekro steal aggro"
"vale sin lured to me"
"NO TELE NO TELE"
And pretty much everything else is in German. I picked French at school. Bummer.

That reminds me of UWSC pugs that form in American District 1 but the teams are full of German people who have a very limited English vocabulary and speak German throughout.

Here is another thing that annoys me ALOT, and I'm sure alot of people agree.
Those annoying stand offs in Arenas!! Both teams just sitting there looking at each other, picking their noses, dancing, eatting dinner, reading Lord of the Rings, all too scared to make the first move. GET ON WITH IT! |

"offer" really peeves me - same as many others...TELL ME WHAT YOU BLOODY WANT FOR THE ITEM!
also - being an officer or guild leader and recruiting people, after telling them you have say 5 people in the guild and you are growing, they join the guild then rage quit - one epic one was someone joined then quit then PM'd me "your guild is too small for me" >.< do people just not read these days? or are they just dumb? haha
The Scorpion Knight
Laraja
I used to say 'ready' when I first started playing, then realized it was '1' to say you're ready and did that so I wouldn't be called a noob. =( I still use '1' because it's easy to type and it's universally understood to mean 'ready'. Gah. I'm talking in circles.
Unendingfear
I hate lag and rubberbanding, especially when I'm giving a free run to Lion's Arch (and that noob who joined, just to beg for money, yes you dust) >.<
Verene
Coverticus
Think the '1' came about from ease of typing - so many lazy peeps couldn't have the finger power to type 'ready' or 'rdy'
In the earlier days, deep inside a mission/quest with a PUG and one says "Sorry, have to go as Mum is calling for dinner". Prompt disconnection. Cue RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE from rest of team
Hence little pugging by moi now hehe.

Hmmm, my pet peeves would have to be:
1) People who overextend/overrun/"Prince Rurik" mobs and areas, just...rushing into everything despite the group asking them NOT to do so. Is it so hard to wait two seconds??
2) People who rail on you for "sucking"/being a "n00b"/wtfever, without giving you any constructive critique as to why this is so.
3) People who request you to view their items/open a trade window with you without giving you any prior notice as to what they want or why they're doing this.
4) Running back and forth missions (mostly seen in Factions, like in the city, where you oftentimes have to run to the end of a certain place, only to find out that you have to run back to somewhere else, to end up running back to the end again).
5) People who kick you from the group without giving any reason why.
6) People who want to kill every mob on the map even though you could easily avoid them (not vanquishing- or farming-wise; mostly during missions and quests where I don't have the time to sit through that crap).
7) Ragequitters/teamquitters. I understand if you have an emergency/internet sucks, but some people just leave within the first few minutes of entering a mission and it's like UGH! WHY?
8) People who advertise themselves as "pro runners".
9) People who hit on me. I've gotten lots of guys doing this, and girls as well! I find it really annoying when...whatever gender...moves up against my chars' "seductive" dancing or when they ask me to follow them and meet them somewhere so I can grind on them. People, get a freaking life; this isn't Brazzers. Go exert yourself watching porno if you're just THAT freaking desperate for some gratification.

Lack of an Identify All feature with identification kits. (What gives? I know guild wars is better than most when it comes to grinding, but do I have to feel like I'm grinding even when I'm just selling things?)
Players with a clear lack of understanding of the game who seem to think they know more than you about any and every topic and reject any attempts at learning to the contrary (I call it the "ur a n00b" phase in which insisting everybody else is a n00b is what replaces any learning activity that would otherwise be present in their brains).
Getting rallied up by my guildmates to do a hardmode dungeon only to sit in some guild hall for 30 minutes to an hour with 6-7 people in the party looking for just a few more players (usually ends up in a begging fest for some player who apparently feigned interest and decided to leave everyone hanging).
Failing a hardmode dungeon in which I had to sit in some guild hall for 30 minutes to an hour with 6-7 people in the party looking for just a few more players before it even started.
People who insist that me (as a monk) and Dunkoro are perfectly adequate for hard mode and when someone dies insists that it must be my fault as heroes don't screw up monking.

Players without a grasp of the game (ie noobs).
Stubborn stupid people(ie noobs),for example I spent a good 2minutes telling a person/noob that WTB meant 'wanting to buy',not 'whisper to buy'.They raged at me and put me on the ignore list. People with lame names,eg Sir (insert name) The Bold/Brave/Strong/Fierce/etc. People who go WTS blah blah without listing a price or going 'pm offers'. People who try and exploit things as much as they can,for example with eotn people were trying to sell onyx gems for 20-40k each. People who farm/grind 24/7 and think it makes them better for you.No your glowy hands aren't pro,and your bandanna doesn't match yours obsidian armour,it just makes you look like a cancer patient. People who whine about skills that aren't even that imba non stop (cough roj). People who say the weirdest things, like in shing jea some person yelling in perma cap 'look at me i'm sexy,I make you sexy too', and somehow getting past the spam filter. |
what i hate the most is when ppl who r new to the game 90% of them get run the whole game by a friend/guild m8 i think u should let them finish the game on there own first ...sure u can help them with mission/quest but not run it for them were the fun in that

I'd say my biggest GW pet peeve is when you're trying to buy something, and the other guy refuses to deal with you unless you make the first offer.
So, being an ignorant pvper you throw out a fairly random number, and your interlocutor decides that you're trying to rip them off or insult them, and doesn't want to continue negotiating a price.
This makes me sadface

1. People who bash professions without knowing much about them.
2. Monks with 5-8 heal spells.
3. Warriors who gather a lot of aggro and then run back to the casters.
4. Being kicked from a group without being told the reason or asked to change. Apparently some players don't know about secondary/skillbar changing yet...
I'm in KISS. I joined so I can have many people to play with. They're not that much different than any other guild (for the most part).

i probably have a few pet peeves
1. that there even is a meta in pvp, i mean really, cant people make their own builds and tactics?
2. if i recruit a new player and they repeatedly beg for items or something even after i explain i wont give them anything, but i can teach them how to get it if they work for it.
3. when midliners run off and aggro shit
4. when people constantly blame the monk if they die.
5. when you go to a town early on in the campaign and you get party requests because you are simply level 20

1. the standoffs in ra. Really. Why should I, as the monk, have to take all the aggro when there is a warr/derv/whatever hiding behind me?
2. when people need to 'see' something in trade window, that there is no reason to see. like, a 20% mod. Or a mini pet. Or an elite tome. Do you really not know what it looks like? Especially when they then cancel the trade with no explanation. wtf?
3. people who agree on a price and then when you open trade they either put junk in the trade window and beg, or try to change the price. You agreed, idiot.
4. People who negotiate back and forth on an item, then when you say for example 5k firm, no lower, they still insist on pming 4.5k? 4.5k ok? plz? 4.5k?
5. People who radically lowball an item when they're trying to buy, or ridiculously overprice it when trying to sell, and refuse to see reason. Either they have no idea what the prices are, or they're greedy idiots.
