GW Load studder + Crash issue

So my problem is that even though I have a pretty good custom built computer, when GW loads into some maps, it doesn't load for about 10 seconds, then jumps to 100%. I've imaged the GW.exe already, so the loads should be instant, but sometimes I load slower than most people in my party.
My second problem is that sometimes, right after I turn on my computer and run GW, my computer automatically restarts for no reason. Sometimes it makes a high-pitch sound in my headset before it restarts. After some testing, I found out that if it makes the high-pitch noise and I shut off GW before my computer restarts, it will not automatically restart. But when I open GW again, it will make the noise again and restart.

My specs on this computer are:
Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 Ghz (not overclocked)
2 Gigs Ram
Asus P5W DH Deluxe Mobo
ATI Radeon 4870 (Running 2 monitors)
OS: XP Pro 32-bit
Not sure if these matter:
Soundblaster Audigy SE Soundcard
Sonar CyberSnipa Headset

My drivers and OS are up to date. Thanks in advance.

Odd. What's your harddrive in it? If you have a slow (5400RPM) harddrive, it will cause that exact kind of loading you're experiencing. Also, try to defrag your computer. I have a Raptor (10,000 RPM) and I haven't defrag'd in about two months, and I load pretty slow.

As for the sound issue, that does sound like a sound card issue. Try removing your sound card if that's easy for you, and just using your on-board sound for a bit. If your computer doesn't like to open/is in an odd spot, try loading it in safe mode with your headphones plugged into the onboard sound.

I have two hard drives.. One is a 7200 RPM Sata and the other is a 7200 RPM IDE, should be pretty fast. However, I will attempt to defrag tonight. As for the Soundcard, my motherboard's onboard sound came DOA and I was too lazy to rma it D:. My headphones aren't plugged into the soundcard though, it's plugged into one of my extra USB plugs in the back of my computer.

You don't have anything plugged into your sound card? What's the point of even having it then? Just FYI - If you have a USB speaker system (or, in this case, headphones) it doesn't use your sound card unless it's directly attached to the card. If that's the case, the USB slot or headphones might be bad. Try moving the headphones around, or use another set of headphones/speakers if you have them.

if you are anything close to a power user than you will notice marked benefit from defraggin on a regular basis.... for example I try to defrag once a week.

Alright, I've defragged my computer, but in some places it still loads slow. (In Umbral Grotto it loads fast, but in Lion's Arch it loads slow)
As for problem 2, I think i've fixed it by reinstalling my sound drivers. It didn't crash today, but I will see if it happens again in the future.
As for the USB headphones, I know that they don't run off of the sound card, but I plug my secondary speaker into the sound card. I will try switching the usb plug though because my headphones often sound weird.
Elder, thanks I will keep that in mind. . I do know that I am suppose to defrag my computer pretty often, but I usually forget. Lol
