So i've been using windows 7 as my main OS lately, and i noticed something peculiar about the way that Guild Wars shows up in the game explorer. (Did Vista have the Game explorer too?) Its supposed to show all the games installed on your computer. I installed prophecies, and it shows up. Installed Factions, it shows up too. Then i did nightfall and EOTN, but they don't show up.
I get that GW is an online game, and that which campaigns you own is all dictated and recorded online instead of on your actual computer, but then why does Factions show up? I installed all of them the same way (using the cd's), and i'm curious if anybody knows why this is. Or better yet, how the games explorer works and differentiates games from normal programs?

Vista did have the game explorer, and for me it showed all 4 games. Though I'm using 7 atm, wouldn't know anything about that because I have it turned off.

I hate to look like a duche here, but; Does it really matter?

lol no, it doesn't really matter, but i'm a bit of a perfectionist and i was curious if anybody knew anything about it.

I noticed this too! My boyfriend recently got windows 7, and it does the same exact thing on his computer. Not that it really matters, but it's still something you notice

Think yourself lucky :/
Game Explorer just doesn't understand Guild Wars.

Anet and Microsoft are plotting to fill Game Explorer with icons so you will always be able to play.
Nah, Game Explorer just can't stand the awesome.
On topic:
I think it may have something to do with gw being made of 4 different games (it seems to count eotn) that pay at once (effectively).

I think it also depends upon whether you actually "installed" the games, or just added the keys to you account. I have all 4 and Vista only shows 1 - Prophecies - because, after I installed Vista, all I did was run gw.exe, so Vista only sees one game.
And, when you think about it, GW is only one game - that is, there is only one GW folder with one gw.exe in it.
