i'm thinkin about makin a tank/damage build for a derv. kinda like the shadow form + sliver armor builds for sins but i can't really use that combo cause it's gonna be for a derv

i was thinkin that i could use shadow form, but i'm gonna need a steady damaging skill. doin scythe damage won't give enough dps so i'm thinkin about usin something else. sand shards was one of skills that popped up in my mind but i don't think it's gonna be enough for let's say farming in UW or sumthin

any suggestions for this?

on the other hand, i could keep sliver armor and use a combination of derv tankin skills like armor sactuary, conviction, ava of balth, mystic regen, etc.. but it'll be a pain to maintain all of those enchantments and i don't think it's gonna be that good of a thank anyways. i'm also tryin to avoid using vow of silince cause that really is a pain to handle

or i could also use obsi flesh, combined with conviction or some other block/miss skills but i don't think it can match the effectiveness of shadowform

any ideas to complete this build?

thanks

Obsidian Dervish used to be popular. If you enter "obsidian dervish" into Google the top search result should be the pvxwiki archived obsidian dervish build. There are at least some good ideas there.

I think, if you want a kind of tanking build for your dervish in a team with a reliable backline, Armor of sanctity, conviction, mystic regen can do the job and you can put wounding strike, victorious sweep and eremite's attack or some other nice attack skill on your bar. This all depends on the area you wish to visit, of course.

If you want something for farming, you can find some nice build suggestions on pvxwiki for inspiration, but some general farming/tanking build, similar to perma SF sin builds and capabale of soloing cannot be made for a dervish, I think.

well the idea for a 600 build is actually that you have 600 hp, which ofcourse can be done by a derv, but they need to be hitting 60 all the time to work so then the dervish tank skills which force weakness won't work. also you cannot keep up SoA so you'll need something else.

btw that'd be just a transformed monk imo, not a derv farming build.
