Returning player, need advice

Hey guys.
After seeing the trailer of GW2 I have found my motivation for GW1 reborn

I have a Monk with 12 titles completed, but every time I try logging back in to play the Monk I feel completely lost. Always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So, I want to start off on a clean slate and complete GWAMM with a (moderately) full HoM.

What class should I re-roll as? I want a class that I can successfully solo everything (but I will group as much as possible) with hero's/henchmen.
ALSO, I want to start off in Proph/Factions, so no paragon/dervish even though I have all four games.

recently made a ritualist
spirit spammer build modified by area for myself and heros to complement said build
have had more fun since making this character than in the over 2 years previous
i've H/H vanquished 3 of the games so far
and done all eotn dungeons but slavers with only H/H in both nm and hm with it
it's fun and at the same time easy enough i watch tv while playing lol

If 'solo' means you and a group of heroes and henchmen, then it doesn't matter what you pick. Every profession can get GWAMM. Besides, play what you want, or else you won't have fun. That's the point, remember.

Obviously it's down to what you prefer, but i quite like rangers - can play as derv/sin/rit with expertise, and with their own bow i find them very versatile, hence why my main is my ranger ^.^
I can't really give any evidence for HM help because i mostly stay away from group activities but condition spreading and interupting are always handy. just perhaps not the most wanted thing in a group

Every class is capable of GWAMM. Play the class YOU want to play and not what others tell you.
