This maybe a little early to ask...but its bugged me for a while and i cant hold it in lol..
If someone has GWAMM in GW1 and gets banned...would they be able to redeem there name and HoM record in GW2 or is the acounts wiped once banned?
as we know very little about GW2 im thinking it maybe to early to ask but its a question ive been dying to ask for ages.
(for the record i have never been banned, this is a general question lol)
GW1-GW2 banning

I doubt they wipe the account...for any liability purposes they probably just put a lock in the account. They need to have a record of the account's existence and the reason for the ban, in case that person decides to make another account under the same email address and continues the same behavior.
As far as having the GW1-2 link...that's a question only the devs can answer, but I'm willing to bet the answer would be no.

If the account was wiped after the ban then the character names would become available again. If someone knows someone whos got a permanently banned account and remembers the characters they had, this could be tested. Just try making a character with one of those names. Seriously doubt this is the case though.

Having a NCsoft account is not a perquisite for playing GW. Also if you had three GW1 accounts and one GW2 account on your NCsoft account how would they know which one to link?
|
And I'm sure there will be an option of linking in-game through the NCSoft account to a specific GW1 account, which would solve your second issue. Something like Menu> Link to GW1 account > Connect to NCSoft Account > Choose from this list of GW1 accounts linked to NCSoft account XXXXXXXX

A friend is in a similar situation...
His account was hacked, and by the time he had sent the game cards to prove that it was his account to have the password changed, they had already permanently banned the account as the hacker used it to sell in game gold. Now they refuse to give him back his account because it was used for illegal dealings or some bull crap.
But that was his title account, and has everything on it for GW2.

.....I honestly have no clue, however, just guessing. No one's ever recovered their account (duh), so it's hard to say if they ever could conceivably recover it or if it is deleted.

Not true. I was falsely perma-banned and I got my account back in four days. I said, "im in ur c0mput0rz haxx0ring ur pr0nz" and someone reported me for attempting to hack the servers. Not even joking. My jaw dropped when I saw the offense. Accounts aren't wiped, the owner is just locked out of them forever (or until the ban is overturned.)
Dunno how it's going to work in GW2, though. I would assume that if your GW1 with GWAMM was banned, you wouldn't be able to obtain any benifit from it in GW2, but, we'll see.

It will go through the NCsoft accounts, it's the only valid way I can think of to link all accounts together in such a way.
How I see it happening is something like this.
Install Guild Wars 2, create Guild Wars 2 account, Guild Wars 2 will ask you if you have an NCsoft account (if not it may ask you to create on), on creation it will then scan to see if you have any Guild Wars accounts in the HoM, and ask if you wish to tie any of them into Guild Wars 2, only allowing one account to be tied of course.
