Another Chestrunning question

I read the chest runners thread and am wondering if you make money off this, or is it just for the title.

Both. You get the Wisdom title (ID'ing golds), luck/unlucky title, and you can sell items for gold.

But do you profit, or do you lose money.

When you reach R6 Lucky and R7 Treasure you might be able to to profit from chestrunning in NM, if you sell your unid goldies @600g or higher. But at lower ranks you lose gold.

you tend to lose more then you make. Definitely not the best way to make money.

yea u profit at a certain rank for sure, but i do not recommend this as a main source of money.

No , you dont nowadays. There was a time when there was no HM that a little luck with drops gave you some money but nowadays .... no def no .
There will be a time when doing CR wont make you lose a lot of money but still profit ? maybe at max rank ( both ) and at that point is pointless.

I sold my gold un-id's when I was maxing this title, from about r4 I was breaking even, and by r5 treasure, i was making a little money. You can get a fair bit from puple armour: major vigors, insignia's etc which rune trader pays good money, also if you check the un-ids for perfect mods (+30hp/+5e are very quick & easy to do), as you can get more money by removing them and selling mod, than selling the un-id.
Over all I would say that I broke even on maxing this title, so it was basically a title that cost nothing, except time!

i find it breaks even and sometime might make like 5k profit from tomes and merch fodder alone

boreal HM 20 items - 4-5k merch food and 1 elite tome maybe 2 or 3 when lucky usually break around 10-14 picks

a wide range of items drop here - mostly prod staffs but mods are easily sellable

I agree with superraptors. Usually, its slightly profitable.

Able to run close to 40-50 chests in HM boreal/hr. Yields 4-8 elite tomes, and several mods on weapons. Some mods sell 5k+ as well.

With treasure hunter and wisdom maxed, salaving crappy drops while retaining picks is a great way to make some materials.
