Gonna get the trilogy/funnest meele class
Darkest Fullalla
So just decided to get the trilogy and I wanted to know what meele class you have fun with?

I personally prefer Warrior, but you can do alot more as an assassin... for farming wise that is
Winston
I prefer the Warrior.
C4K3
For somebody new, create a warrior in either prophecies or nightfall, that would probably be the best start.
Symbiont
I have only played a Dervish and I can say that they are fun, but they don't fit well in end game areas like Underworld etc. If you want to be able to go everywhere and see everything in the game, I'd go with a Warrior.
Marty Silverblade
I've only ever played Warrior, but thats because the others aren't attractive to me. Warriors and Assassins are better as using scythes then Dervs, so they're a bit redundant, and Assassins don't seem as interesting (they don't have as much diversity and have less PvP presence). If I made a sixth char though, it'd be a second melee, which would be an Assassin (farming is a big point here though).
Shadow of the wolf
Alll 3 classes are fun 2play and i would advise u try all 3 derv war and sin and choose what best fits u
Master Ketsu
Difficulty depends more on build than class but in PvE from easiest to hardest doing melee would be...
1. Warrior
2. Dervish
3. Assassin
4. Ranger ( yes, Ranger )
Ironically, this list is completely reversed in PvP.

Agreed!
For a beginner, I recommend Warrier, with either Monk or Elementalist as secondary.
Later, it depends on taste and skills. My currently most destructive characer is an Elementalist. It is realy Elementalist/Necoromancer, but I rarely equip any N skills.
Warrier as secondary profession doesn't seem to make much sense, except perhaps for a Monk.

Warrior. For pure fun with a wide variety of builds and weapons, the warrior is outstanding. The dervish and assassin are limited in useful builds and, to me, become very boring to play. My dervish has collected a lot of dust since she finished Nightfall, because there was no excitement to playing her.

Dervish imo.
key thing with them is your positioning though.
besides it's damn satisfying when you kill 6 mobs at the same time.

I'll have to be the odd man out and say Assassin. Personally I hate the concept of "rage" (adrenaline), ...standing there swinging, tapping your foot waiting for your skills to become available. Seems passive to me, and not very aggressive.
With my assassin, I shadow step right into the frey... DB/MS spam til everything dies around me (haven't had that much fun since I first got firestorm on my Ele). As for weapon selection, you can have alot of fun with secondary classes, I've been experimenting with a crit-scythe build with dervish as secondary... massive damage spikes. I've also been playing with A/Me using a staff and all assassin spells causing bleeding, deep wounds, and poison, and knockdowns. I've even played "warrior" and ran around with an axe (the potential is fairly limitless with assassins).

I love playing with my dervish. However it was my first class so I quickly got used to being able to attack three enemies at once and their lot of enchantments/avatars are fun to mess with. When I tried using a warrior I just couldnt stand only hitting a single enemy at a time, so now he's my mule haha. It just really depends on you, if you want more flexibility I would say warrior (tons of builds and weapons to choose from). Cant really say anything about an assassin (dont have Factions) but they are very useful for farming and making money.
But as a beginning player I would recommend a warrior, there a little easier to use in my opinion.

I can't believe nobody has stood up for Assassins... of course you can do more diverse things with them. The Critical Strikes attribute makes you capable of wielding literally any physical weapon with great proficiency. Dagger and scythe are the two most popular, but because of 4 energy regen, Critical Strikes attribute, and Critical Agility (a Nightfall PvE only skill that is absolutely fantastic), you can dagger chain, scythe, turret bow, crit-barrage, crit-spear, and even (though there are no builds on pvx for them) sword, axe, and hammer.
Granted, Assassin leaves less room for error than Warrior, so for starting out maybe you should roll Warrior. If you've got some experience with mob/aggro control and building a skill bar that has synergy from any idea, Assassin will let you play any other profession you want at any time.
