Well, I wanna have a necro on nightfall, but they are very ugly on that campaign, so does it matter what way round I have my proffessions? Could I have a D/N and have necro as the main damage dealer, or would that not work?

You could do that but you won't be as strong as having a primary Necro, and your limited with what you can do with your secondary.

is the only limit not having the primary attrib and no armour, or are there others?

Do you own either of the other 2 campaigns? If so, just roll a Necro on one of those and cross over when you reach Lion's Arch or Kaineng Center.

I would but, it's mainly because I wanna do the storyline and I haven't ever done much of it and I wanna start from the beggining. [Problem solved anyway, started a D/E]

You would have +10 armour and -5 energy compared to a necro
Necro ar 60 energy 30 Dervish ar 70 energy 25

The necro prime attribute "Soul Reaping" is your energy management also you couldn't use necro runes.

Do you have any of the other games ? if so start the necro there then move over to Nightfall.

Dervish Necro may well work I have never tried it out myself, have a look for builds and see if anyone has used that combo and made it work.

Using Runes and Insignias of that Profession on your armor.

Making your char a dervish is going to limit you later, so I wouldn't really recommend it.

Necros can actually look great, just the low-level armor in NF looks terrible. Once you get some Elite Luxon or Asuran (male) or Vabbian (female), or some mix, you'll have a sweet looking char and be glad you weren't a useless dervish.

I made a necro just for the look, actually, it's got terrible looking NF armor but will eventually look like a complete cyborg with red-dyed Asuran.

if you don't like how their faces, hair etc looks like you can change that as soon as you are able to travel to Great Temple of Balthazar

you can mix hairstyles and faces from any campaign.

This was my necro in Nightfall. I hated the way the armor and complexion looked at first but I got used to her after a while.

I did wind up deleting her later only because I compounded the problem by experimenting and making her a necro warrior which was a terrible mistake.

Beauty is only skin deep but stupidity goes straight to the bone.

You can change your secondary profession as much as you want without penalties later on in the storyline. It's not a permanent decision, and there is no point in deleting characters because of it.
