i'm testing out a couple of different classes, and right now im trying a warrior, and i want to be a pretty basic, typically warrior. One that can do pretty good damage, but can still take some hits, has good spells (aoe+others).
if your character sounds like this, tell what your secondary class is, what you put your skill points on, etc.

one more thing; if your on a trial account, can you transfer your character to an actual account if you buy the game?

A warrior is not a spellcaster but a melee class. With very few energy and only 2 pips of regen it relies more on adrenaline based skills. There are many builds listed in the warrior subforum and you can find reliable builds on pvxwiki.com.

You will be able to use a character from the trial in the real game if you add the access key to the account (Trial) already started.

Warrior is a good class to start with, pretty basic in most regards. Warriors, however, do not have a lot of energy, so using spells is not a good idea. Doesn't mean you can't use spells, and many EXCELLENT builds do, but they don't use many, and they don't use them often. All classes offer nice options for a secondary, but some are more difficult to use.

I'd recommend 2 for someone new to this type of game, and 3 for someone familiar with the basics.

W/Mo offers hex and condition removal skills, and that is the main way Warriors get shut down. Monk also offers a hard rez, so if the team is dead, you have a way to bring them back. Outside of farming though, using spells to heal or protect yourself is a waste of energy and attribute points - let the team Monk do that for you.

W/N offers one of the best condition removal skills in the game, Plague Touch. I won't go into more, but there are also options available to boost your damage and increase your adrenaline.

W/E is the last one I'll recommend. Ele has some spells, a lot of them the AoE that you mentioned. I wouldn't use any of those though. The Conjures can work well to boost damage, and some of the snares can be useful. Things like Grasping Earth can keep things from running away from you, and Shock can knock them down.

Might check out the Warrior forum down in the Campfire for more info on the class. Read the sticky there

You can't transfer characters from one account to another. You can, however, add a retail key to your trial account and have access then to all the characters on that account already(provided that the retail key is of the same campaign you started your characters in).

Btw, it sounds like you'd be more interested in playing a dervish then a war.
