Commander in HoM

The recent news that Hero Batles will be removed entirely (as well as the title ceasing to earn points) annoyed allot of people, especially those working on their HoM.

My suggestion is that rather then making the HOM entry R3 Commander, reduce it to R1 commander. That way, anyone looking to complete their Hom has more then enough time within the next few weeks to try and max R1 if they already haven't done so.

In what little time is left would require allot of dedicated grinding to try and get to rank 3 if you haven't already made allot of progress in it already.

I believe this would also encourage people to go and play allot of Hero Battles within the next few weeks, giving it a nice send off and some good play time for those who have been working on the commander title for a while now.

Although I am not sure how much time it would take to grind r3 commander this sounds like a good idea.

In wiki there is an article saying that you will not be able to put both commander title and the new one at the same time in HoM.

"There will be a new title for this new format. This title will be the counterpart of the Commander title; either will satisfy a single requirement towards the Hall of Monuments and the Kind of a Big Deal title track, but not both at once. It’s a one-or-the-other kind of thing. "

they will give a new title for the new arena, so you wont be missing any titles, that will be your replacement. and yeah you cant display both as far as we know.

Wait if you have commander title in HoM you can't get the new title?! And Anet actually expects us HBers to play the new format wtf.

You'll still be able to get the new title, you just won't be able to display both in the HoM....I think

That's what i have understood. Both will unlock the same content for gw2.

you will be able to get, just only display one title in the hall, and probably unlock the same stuff anyway.

As a matter of fact, only the new title will be likely to count toward KoTBD.

well seeing that noone has maxed commander title, or has even come close for that matter, this shouldn't really be a issue.

See the thread in the HB forum about farming points... I'm sure if ANet puts a double HB weekend in, someone will max it. Hell you can even write a bot to click enter, check your color, and type /resign.

It is possible. All you need is take a pixel, see its RGB values and done.

i think both would count technically, but only one would count towards the title, it could be either commander or the new one. because if someone did max it then it will be unfair to them, then again it wont be a big community who max it.
