I am running Windows 7 Ultimate (Beta) and RivaTuner keeps giving me an error that says "RivaTuner does not support your current display driver" and it wont let me OC.

Also what what exact brand/model that 4890 is, as of late at least regarding xfx some 4890's depending on the sku number have altered volatage regulators non conforming to the standard ati has released, basically modded pcb and circut power could hold back on overclocks.

It's a problem with RivaTuner and Windows 7, not the card. I have a modded one running myself, but it's for an nvidia card so I'm not sure how to do it on an ATi card. I'll dig up what I can find.

*EDIT*:

Did you download the very very latest version? I had 2.24 but there's 2.24C now which apparently has fixed the Forceware/Catalyst bug. Try it:

Radeon.4890 by XFX 1gb latest Drivers as of 9/6/09
Rivatuner 2.24C (Master Overclocking Arena 2009 Edition)

Still having an issue... its a problem with W7 and The program. I have tried running it with the program compatability tool in W7 with no luck

why don't you use catalyst control center, or maybe even atitraytools? both are more than adequate.

My suggestion would be to PM Alex(a.k.a Unwinder, the programmer) with W7+rivatuner questions, He's a very helpful dude.
