Self-Minipet

I don't know whether this idea has been explored before, and I realize it could potentially sound quite retarded, but here it goes...

I think it would be really cool if there was a blank-slated minipet that you could buy. After doing this, you would talk to an NPC, and whatever you were wearing at that time would be recorded onto that mini. In other words, you would basically have a minipet of yourself.

I realize that minipets will have some use in GW2, in regard to an additional henchman, mount, etc...But even if this were to be a temporary installment, I think it would be really cool to be standing beside yourself; your replicate being 50 times smaller. I understand that this raises some issues (ie. tradeablility, affect on HoM, innovating servers, etc...) but I think this would be a really cool and fun way to express yourself in Guild Wars. I want to hear what you guys think.

Its been brought up A LOT for sure. I dont see why youd want a mini you, but then again I dont see why you wouldnt. So id be alright with it happening, but i could care less rather it would happen or not.

would b cool to have a mini YOU of ur own main char running around. like a mini gwenn but than of yourself^^

If you had searched, you surely would have seen other suggestions like this. It won't happen, mainly because it can't. The GW game engine and servers can't handle something like this. How many character classes are there (10), how many character sexes are there (2), how many faces are there (tons), how many hair styles (tons), how many skin colors (tons), how many heights are there (tons), and how many armor sets/combos are there (tons).

Being able to combine all those possible configurations would take an insane amount of resources.

Would it be cool? Thats all personal opinion, mine... I don't care one way or another.

When I suggested a 'mini-me' miniature, what I suggested was a miniature that copied your model with exactly what you are wearing. Change your gear and the miniature changes too.


But his would require to save lots of info in an item: 5 pieces of armor and their dyes.
I'm not saying i being impossible, but it sure is way more complicated.
