Sir Mad
It's a bit vague... What's the processor? Concerning the RAM I read "up to 4GB", but how much RAM do you have exactly? You *could* play GW with 1GB or RAM, however you'd be much more comfortable with 2GB or more (especially if Vista is installed). Remember as well you need a 64 bit OS to use 4GB.
Also, I suggest to wait a few months before you buy a new computer so you will have Seven installed (unless you want to buy a second copy of Windows later or... do bad things to get one). It is MUCH more competitive than Vista.

what exactly are you getting? Most of the things listed give at least 2 options - the most important thing is the graphics - the Intel x3100 sucks for Guild Wars 1 and will be even worse for GW2 - the 3650 will be fine for GW1, but I would guess that it most likely won't play GW2 all maxed out, but should still be playable.

yeh well obviously that wasn't such a great build lol. But Im just trying to get a good idea of what is decent out there. I really wanted to build my own but my parents want a warranty so I am stuck with buying a pre-built one. But if anyone can kind of give me a good general idea on what a good pre-built computer is that would be great. I cant really go over 1000 dollars which doesnt leave you guys with much room to work with especially for laptops.
P.S. I would prefer a laptop but in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter seeing as how it will be going in my room anyway. Secondly, i wont be buying this computer for at least 8 months.

Integrated graphics wont run anything, forget about it.
I'd say wait till all laptops are sold with windows 7 installed (unless you plan on formatting right after buying the pc).

Man thanx for you guys posting so fast, god i love guru lol. Anyway I was checking into those asus laptops earlier today and they are freakin sweet, but they do cost a pretty penny although not too bad for a laptop. Are there any Asus that cost a little less that will run GW and possibly GW2 on full settings without any problems or is that just it. Either way looks like I am gonna have to apply for a job lmao

Dude, stop asking about GW2. We don't know the requirements. They might be as low as "Single Core 2.4 GHz" and as high as "Dual Core 3GHz" and 4 GB RAM minimal. We don't even know when the game is coming out, that's like predicting the requirements for Crysis 2.
A lot of laptops can run GW on full, but they cost a lot because of the mobile graphic cards and poweful CPUs.

Yeah, there should be a big sticky in this section saying "No-one knows what GW2 will require - please stop asking!"

If you aren't going to buy for 8 months there's not much point in asking for a build now. Prices and products will change vastly in that amount of time and there's no way to say decisively what things will cost at that time, other than the obvious that anything (mostly) that is "high end" now will be mid range and far cheaper by then. :P
