Help with PVP Please!!

Hey guys and gals,

So yeah, been having fun on PVP - but I have a few questions.

1) I've seen videos of people sort of free-roaming on PVP, Not sure how to explain it...like right now all I can work out how to do is fight people in Random Arenas and on the Hero Battles - where else can I do PVP?

2) We all know that in PVP you're auto level 20 - but can I earn my skill points to upgrade some of my stats? How do I earn new and better items?

There's all sorts to do in PvP.

Random Arenas (RA) - 4 player random chosen pvp.

Team Arenas (TA) - Baisically RA but you choose who you are with. You must win 5 consecutive RA games to progress to TA.

Hero Battles (HB) - TA/AB really. Capture shrines and you choose which heroes you want as part of your team.

Heroe's Ascent (HA) - I think, correct me if i'm wrong, you need 5 consecutive TA games to progress to HA. Here you choose an 8 player team and battle against up to 3 other teams in a variety of maps and game styles to win an oppurtunity to open the Heroe's Ascent chest at the end and get great rewards.

Alliance Battles (AB) - These are battles against the Luxons and Kurzicks and can be accessed to via the guild hall or great temple of balthazar. It involves 3 groups of 4 on each Team and they fight out to claim shrines and win the game by capturing them and holding them to gain points.

Zaishen - Here you fight different types of Zaishen enemies for faction.
Elite Zaishen - You must win a particular amount of normal Zaishen games to unlock this pvp. I'm not sure how many because i've never done it myself! I think you just recieve more faction from winning Elite zaishen games.

There are also campaign based PvP such as Fort Aspenwood Kurzick/Luxon.

I'm not a huge pvp fan myself so i'm sure there will be many more responses to you're post and they'll be more detailed than this. I hope this gives you a brief summary of the different types of games you can play!

1)After a 5 win streak in Random Arena you unlock Team Arena, after another 5 win streak in Team Arena you unlock Heroes Ascent. Here the team sizes are increased to eight and then it provides you with PvP emotes/titles for achieving enough wins.

Alternatively you can always get together 4 guild mates, including one officer, and then either hench/heroes (for the time) or guest some buddies and set up a Guild Versus Guild (GvG) through the party formation menu.

2)In PvP skill points can be earned but are useless due to the fact you start with all your attributes and use faction to unlock skills which are then accessible across your entire account.

You can earn new gear by doing GvG/HB tournaments and using the reward points gained through competing and winning to unlock PvP gear for that character.

Although I have read somewhere that they are working on allowing this to be purchased through Zcoins which are obtained through dailies.

You need 5 wins in TA but they don't have to be consecutive.
