Just out of curiosity, does this apply to the spell only?
For instance, if (on an ele) had a soul reaping +1/20% mod on an offhand, and casted meteor shower. If that +1 triggered for this meteor shower, would I have 1 soul reaping on that ele for the duration of the cast?
Thanks.

That's actually pretty interesting, never really thought about that, I'll have to test that.

I don't *think* it will boost it since you don't have the option for Soul Reaping on your bar. Just tested this: I brought a Mesmer Fast Casting skill on my Assassin's bar and used a Golden Egg to modify all my attributes +1, however, the affected parts of the skill did not change to reflect an additional 1 attribute to my 0 Fast Casting. I imagine since it's not listed as part of your available options it doesn't get modified.
That's assuming that the +1/20% works in the same way as other attribute modifiers, but I would imagine that to be the case.

feng i dont think your test was accurate.
you can get +1soulreaping etc from statues, but using an egg will only raise the attributes you HAVE. once you have the att, it would be counted.
since using the +1 is directly related to the att, i believe it would still work.
needs tested with the +1 mod directly imo.

Only applies to skills and only works for attributed skills so no using 1 SR for an ele because you have a shield with +1 20%.
Disregarding its extremely limited use, its just RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing useless.

As noted by kedde, it only triggers when you cast a spell/skill from that attribute. You won't gain 1 energy for something that dies because it only effects spells/skills. If you had a weapon that had +1 Soul Reaping and cast Icy Veins, you may see a higher than normal damage from it, but it won't give you the inherent effects of the attribute.
Snograt
An example:
If you have a "+1 Fire Magic (20% chance)" inscription and you cast a Fire Magic spell, there is a 1:5 chance that the spell will cast as if your Fire Magic attribute was one higher.
If your inscription was "+1 Soul Reaping (20% chance)" and you cast that same Fire Magic spell, there is a 1:5 chance that the spell will cast as if your Soul Reaping attribute was one higher. Which would have zero affect.
The "Master of my Domain" inscription highers the linked attribute in respect of the skill being used only - there is no inherent effect.

"Highers", Snograt? You mean "raises" or "increases"? Brilliant Techie has just had a brain fart, lol.
Snog is right. Affects the spells cast only, it doesn't give you ranks/inherent effects in attributes, whether you can invest in those attributes or not.
