I'm currently putting my character through each campaign, in order before continuing where I got to on EOTN. Having just completed Prophecies, i'm now a fraction of the way through Factions.
All was going swimmingly, without a single reconnect needed or Error 007. Until I got to the Arborstone mission. At the same point in the mission (I go the center route then down the stairs before going through the far doors), I start lagging with no apparent drop in ping (green dot stays green). The character freezes, then I either get a reconnect option which sometimes lets me carry on for about a minute, or I get a complete disconnect.
Normally i'd think of it as spurious, but it's happening at the same point in the mission and for the third consecutive time.
Anyone else experiencing the same symptoms or do you think it's purely coincidental?

It sounds like it could be a corrupt gw.dat file. Try running GW with the -repair command or -image.

I would do what Quacker said and use the -image feature just to be sure you download EVERY piece of the game IF that happens to be the problem, it's possible you are still background downloading parts of factions and it hasn't gotten that far yet. However, disconnects and Error 007 are purely linked to internet connectivity, but of course a problematic or incomplete .DAT file could cause your client to get screwy when building a zone and cause you headaches.
I remember once my character fell right through the map right in front of me and i got a 007, closed GW and reopened it to find that it needed to repair the GW.DAT archive.
