why not have Havok Soulwail as a bounty instead of 10 BauBao Wavewrath's?
or maybe Divinty Coast as a mission instead of 10 million fort ranik's?
A bit more variation is needed in these quests

I'm getting sick of it too. From what I heard, however, they were supposed to cycle more, to allow a greater variety, but in one of the updates, the counter was reset so a lot of the quests started being run again.

Well... to be fair... there are only so many missions in the game. Those have to run out eventually.
As for z-bounties... yeah, they could add more of those, but its fine as is. It's not like I'm able to do every z-mission on every character every day.

They've already been through all the missions once, except for Pogahn Passage, so you're going to see repeats of those from here on out. However, I do agree there needs to be more bounties. Every boss needs his turn in the crosshairs.

I would definitely disagree, I don't want to have to enter a Prophecies zone five times and not find the bounty boss at all. Too many bad memories from skill capping.
I also wouldn't want to see bosses like Arrahhsh Mountainclub that are two steps out of a town that every character is required to go to (assuming they've made it that far through the storyline). I know there are a couple similar bosses that are bounties (Fenrir, Mungri Magicbox, etc.) but those aren't even fun, they're just Zcoin/rep farms.

There are what, 65 or so missions in the game.

To OP, as many have said it was bound to recycle due to limited content. Smartest thing to do would probably be to get your packs or w/e and just take a break if it's wearing on you.
It's really those Perdition bosses that are problematic...the rest are fairly reliable. We could wind up with things like Plog Hamfist...in spite of numerous attempts I've never even seen that boss spawn. The main wiki doesn't even have a location map

There are a total of 69 primary missions: Prophecies has 25, Factions has 13, Nightfall has 20 and EotN has 11. With the exception of Pogahn Passage, all of these have been offered as z-missions. The was a thread a while back that Pogahn accidentally got left off the list, and perhaps would be added later at some point. Given that the z-quests were implemented only at the end of April, we've barely had 3 months worth of quests. So its only natural that some of the missions have come up only 1 time... in another month and a half you MIGHT expect them all to have come up twice, depending on the randomness of the quest order. For having more missions, what other options are there? Add in some of the challenge missions? Sounds lame to me.
As for the bosses, as I recall there are something like 66 different boss quests. This could certainly be raised, but with the random spawning of prophecies bosses that would really suck to have to keep trying to find the same boss. Other bosses, like those in noobie areas are kind of silly to have as quests... On the other hand, it is kinda weird that they have quests for foes that aren't even bosses (like Charged Blacknesses wtf lol). Might be nice to have them add some more boss quests though... would be funny if Magini the Bison came up for example.
In short, this is a finite game, and the z-quest system takes several months to cycle through. Seems like plenty to me. Now, if they would only go back and make a lot of the normal quests worth doing...

I love them, they are great. And some are among the best missions in the entire game (Thirsty River for instance, which is one of my favorite).
4-6 man missions tend to be more tactical, which is good.
Well, don't play them there. It's simple. I mean, what did you expect, that there will be more Z missions than there is missions in the game?

For those of you who don't read the User Talk pages, here's why you're seeing the Z-Quests repeat (keep in mind it was an accident and those usually happen when you're overworked):
We are aware of the shuffle that occurred with the available Zquests after the build. This one was my fault, I fixed a couple bugs in ones that had not come up yet and what I did has the side effect of restarting the whole system. I should have then had Joe instruct me in the special-coder-math that is needed to force the Zquests which are active the day of the build to be the first set available after the system reset, but I overlooked that step. I apologize for the inconvenience, but don't worry, those same quests will all come up again eventually. Since the issue would go away after half a day, I didn't feel it was necessary to put the team through the whole emergency build process just for this. Again, I'm sorry about all the confusion it has caused, I hope you all forgive me. =/ - Image:User Linsey Murdock sig.jpgLinsey

Almost three months to the day (June 12th - September 9th) is ages ago. Plus, it still doesn't change the fact that we're done with all the bounties. If you look at the second cycle bounty column (the one after the mix-up you're referring to) in the archive and compare it to the current table, you'll notice it's repeating in exact order since August 16th.

Edit: after rereading this it may come across like I'm trying to rage at you; that's not the intention, my point is that Linsey's mistake isn't why we're seeing repeat quests anymore.

As has been already stated -there are only so many missions, and there has been plenty of time gone by (even since Lindsey's blunder) for the missions to cycle through.
As for bosses - There are several worthy candidates that aren't in the rotation - especially in EotN, but a lot of bosses are too easily accessible to merit a "quest" to defeat them. (even easier to get to than Fenrir!) There are even a few in factions that may get killed by their enemies before you even get to them! Why get rewarded for that?

Minimal proph bosses for z-bounty please as we will never know where or when most of them would spawn. Repeat re-zoning is not fun.

I'm doing exaclty one Z-Mission per day since July I think, and I am now about 8 missions away from Legendary Guardian.
They do not seem to be repeating until a full cycle completes. It's only your impression that some mission is repeating far more than others...

But yeah, more bosses on the list plx. Just once I'd like to have the boss I need a skill cap from (of which there are a lot as I'm an ESH, so it's not like I want super specific ones) to be the bounty, instead of some obscure boss at the end of the second level of a dungeon. It always feels like the EotN guys, really obscure Canthan guys (who actually fights Baubao Wavewrath in normal play, anyways?), and FoW/UW guys are overrepresented.
I mean, there are 22 dungeon bosses, 5 FoW/UW/DoA/Tombs bosses, 1 SF boss, plus Kanaxai, Urgoz, and Rotscale, if I counted correctly. Gack. That's about half the ZBounties right there. Did I mention there are 9 more non-dungeon EotN bosses, plus the Realm of Torment bounties (both of which require not one, but 2 or 4)... Why? Whywhywhy? I know they want us to put in some effort, but seriously. Actually, are there any Proph bosses besides Rotscale and the Iron Forgeman listed at all? Obnoxious...
You know something's wrong when this list of supposedly infamous bosses fails to include Maw the Mountain Heart.

Would love to see some more bosses, but the missions are fine. I'd even be happy seeing the Prophecies bosses that have a random chance to not show up. Of course I'd expect that to increase the reward some, but it wouldn't be that hard to do. LOTs and LOTs of bosses to be used, and several good candidates have been 'ignored'. Not sure why, but I doubt it will be changed. I think any boss that has an elite skill is worthy of a bounty, although the ones too easily reached could be left out.

As of June 11 it's simply a matter of cycling repeatedly through the 68 missions in order and the 66 bounties in order. Everything that's included gets equal play. The sense of imbalance comes only from the fact that about 2/3 of them got an extra appearance between April and June 11 before the order was changed.

They should add to the rotation other things like solo missions (the one with the ice griffin, for example) master quests (defending the eye) and dungeon quests (the ones in bloodstone caves). Of course these quests would have to become repeatable but only when they z-quest is active, that way you don't farm them all day long when they aren't active.

I'd honestly prefer if they repeated with more frequency. In the brief time I was doing the Zaishen Quests I would occasionally do both the mission and bounty depending on which they were. Sure it would be more repetitive, but it's a one time thing a day. Heck other MMOs adapt daily quests where it is the same thing day in day out but it never becomes a bother; more of a routine.
