The name of the alliance leading guild is already displayed on the town the alliance holds.
If you want recognition for being in an alliance that holds a town, talk to the leader about passing control around. The alliance that held Cavalon did that for a while after a threatened mutiny (because the member guilds wanted to see their name in lights).

From a practical standpoint: a guild that farms a crap load of faction does not make them "good."
And since it's just for bragging rights (and since you can already own towns, which is bragging rights enough), I'd go ahead and say no.

Maybe if you'd have come up with a more reasonable request why the suggestion should be considered, other than based purely upon your ego, people might be more receptive to the idea.

I haven't seen one person agreeing thus far. The ones that own HzH and Cavalon or any other town haven't suggested it yet (since the start of Factions). They seem content with how it has been and is now...

You are 17, so stop acting like you are 10. As stated several times already, this is already in the game. Click on a town and you see who owns it. A list hosted on the GW site will be ignored. The only people who care are the people in contention for town control. You are in a guild/alliance with a lot of faction.... nobody cares but you, your guild, your alliance, and the people trying to overtake you. Nobody else cares.

Actually it shows the name of the guild leading the alliance. I guess members of the other guilds could be pissed, so if there was something to change, that would be to add an option to show every guild of the alliance.
However, since I think farming factions is a waste of time (many friends actually left the game because of that), and that this system should just be removed from the game, I vote no.

I like factions I'm big on it and what not however.. "best factions guild" no the whole point of having alliances was to work together however i find that most alliances do nothing but fight or hate on one another in and out of their own.
