I was doing dungeon runs and had a odd staff drop.
Its just an air staff but it is uniscribable and has no base mod, ive seen weps with no base mods before but never a EoTN gold. Anyone else find weps like this one in EoTN dungeon end chests?

a small bug, like the time the Yetis dropped golden rags void of any rune. Just ignore, eventually someone will fix it.
Back in the Factions guide, there existed a table revealing items had levels too. If I remember correctly, Purple meant the item was level +2 or +3 and Gold equaled a +3 or +4 modification. Level 24 meant it was max damage, hence you had to kill a level 20 enemy to get a level 20 drop, that then was upgraded to 24. So if the initial level value of your staff gets messed up, adding four levels will create a weird item like the one described by the OP.
How exactly the new loot system with the inscription works, was never revealed.

No inherent mod gold drops happen pretty often on their own in Prophecies/Factions but thats not a bug. But it shouldn't happen anymore in NF/EotN as the Deathbane bug was fixed - now 100% purple and gold drops in NF/EotN should have insc slot.
