Hi all,
I need to know if its possible to download the game ISO as my little boy broke my game CD yesterday. I'm looking to install Windows 7 when its released on a new system I'm building so I'm stuck as to installing GW on my new PC. I looked on the GW sites but its only that download client which installs the game as it downloads but I would like a CD to install as I'm getting a new laptop too and reinstalling my current PC so need to install GW on all 3 PC's so i can play the game regardless of which PC I'm on but don't really want to download the game 3 times.
Any help would be great

Yes, you can download the game. The CD is not needed.

To download the whole thing at the same time use the -image command as shown on the wiki http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/-image#-image
This takes several hours so is best done overnight or while away from home.
To keep a copy of the game to place on other computers, just save your gw.dat file (3.8GB) to a flash drive or DVD and copy to the new computer after the initial game client (gw.exe) is installed.
If you have Templates then make sure to save those also as they will need to be transferred.

The simplest thing for you to do is to just back up your entire Guild Wars folder to a flash drive, DVD, or external hard drive. If you are currently using Vista, you'll also want to back up the Guild Wars folder under "Documents" as well - that's where your screenshots and Templates are. (If you have a file called gw.tmp, you don't need to include it in the backup.)
After you've installed Windows 7, simply copy the GW folder from the backup. Then run gw.exe. GW will set itself up. You may need to also copy the Screenshots and templates to their proper location. (I'm not sure where that would be in W7, but it's probably also Documents.)
Or, if you have problems with that method, you can download and run the client, and then copy the gw.dat file (and screenshots, etc.) from the backup.
