I know I should shoot myself in the leg for asking this, but seeing how I just upgraded my RAM to 4 GB (2x1GB + 2GB and works great), I just wanted to ask - is my CPU 64-bit? I'm not completely sure and I feel ashamed for not knowing that.
It's the E2160 model, but since I never took interest in 64-bit OSes, I never checked if I can run Windows 7 64-bit.
So... yeah, that was the question - can I run 64-bit OS?
Is my CPU 64-bit?

i'd imagine it is. practically every processor released in the past three years are x64.

without going into a long schpeel, yes you can use a 64bit OS.

Cool, thanks for the help.
Although I am not going to change OS right now - Windows 7 is coming out in a month, it would be stupid to install the same OS twice in a month for no reason.

- to try Win7 before buying
- to make sure there are no hardware problems before buying.
- to gain experience
- for grins
- etc.

Besides, you can't really download it from Microsoft site, and I would have to buy DVD again and I don't really want to start all over if I'm switching to retail in a month.
