I heard this rumor in game. I don't know of anything official. But it wouldn't surprise me. I signed up with the guy to do HB and was never allowed to by the system. If I tried it said I wasn't signed up. If I tried to sign up it said I was. I have had lots of other things to do - so I went to do them. Since, I gave up on the Dev.s fixing anything that are screwed up - and still are - I didn't see much point in trying. Currently I send them p/o'd mail when their refusal to fix things costs mission. But HB is something I might have done if I had been allowed to by the system. I don't know how many others never tried to play because the system wouldn't let them. Hopefully they will find ways of preventing things like this in the future, and in future games.
But if HB is not going - maybe they will fix it. Some of us in PvE are pretty good at running HH as an asset. HB was tailor made for us. So, if anyone knows what's going on - I would be interested in hearing. If not - I'll just chalk it up to something that didn't work.
Heard HB is being removed?...

It looks like it's being removed tomorrow. Sorry you just heard.
Man...they should really put this kind of shit on the log-in page. I forgot that a bunch of people didn't know :/ |
then no one is to blame but themselves for not knowing lol.M
Well, if I didn't get in because I lacked sufficient instruction by the game to do HB - that is still something they need to think about. Something that has been incredibly lacking since Prophecies was releases is decent instructions and manuals. And, yes, I give great credit to the wonderful wisdom stones in Shing Jea and the starter training area that showed things like skill chaining, interuption, snaring, etc. But until GuildWiki started putting things together in a coherent manner, and a few players with the resources really analyzed the game mathematically, there was very little to nothing.
Having never got to play HB, I find it sad personally. It was something I intended to get to after I got more of the farming/obstacles out of the way of other goals. And of course, if I was going to be allowed to do it.

well, Fitz, considering there have been so many double HB weekends, not sure why you've 'missed out' this long. And since you have 732 posts dating back to 2005, I'm suprised you didn't pick up on this from GWG earlier.
Now, turning my crosshairs onto Anet itself, the various CR's have said they will communicate better (this has been stated and/or promised multiple times in the last year). So, how do you feel about people who don't visit the forums or the wiki, but rely on in-game information coming from.......in-game.......who will have no idea this major change is about to happen? Slight let down in communication?

As for how I feel about those who don't visit the forums or wiki - I have pointed a good 100 or more people at them. I answer their questions when they are too busy (fighting) or lazy to go look for themselves, and provide advice on a good 90% of the PvE content. That is just life.
But - we have always needed better manuals, better game instruction, and skills we could Count on. I couldn't use or recommend half the builds I started with 4 years ago. Skills that once had value now are not even appearing in vetted builds in PvX (Gladiator's Defense, etc.) When I first started there was no wiki. Nothing told me about F10 to find out what just got used against me. Started walking to Yaks from the lowlands, met dwarves, and discovered perma-death (Howler waves hello, dead, WTF was that, dead, and dead again). Then I find out about chant rippers. After that I started playing every class in the game - so I could start seeing how the now 1300 plus skills work against me. There has always been a lack of instruction for the game.
This is an ridiculous trolling thread. You want an online game, that has new content that changes all the time, to offer manuals on how to do everything in the game?
Then you bitch at the game developers because something is too confusing for you to figure out how to do? "If you are allowed to do it." Of course you are allowed to. There isn't some big conspiracy to stop you. Register your account name. Enter a tournament with a tournament token. Done. Plus, that is only to play in tournaments. You can still go there and just hit "enter battle."
Finally, you can still play HB. It's not like it has ended yet.
And really... you aren't missing much. Having actually played HB, its awful. Saying "OMG how dare they" when you haven't even tried it yet (and subsequently realized just how unfun it is) is... bizarre.

lol yeah, Hawk. I was on the HB beta team on the test server, and even THEN I knew it sucked, and never went back. Seriously, hardly anyone will miss HB, it was degenerate and the result of some really bad idea.
HOPEFULLY sealed deck gets properly implemented, as it's a wonderful idea, which could end as a smoldering heap of poo if some of the same attention to quality that we've seen lately makes its way here. We'll see, eyes are watching.

Well as far as I saw HB was nothing more than Sin arena. All I ever saw was one sin vs another sin and their heroes and the Sin with the fastest ISP connection wins. lol If it is going then good won't hurt me a bit. Guess they can use that arena for sealed deck arena which I will gladly take part in because that will be real skill and not just 123 down on your knees sin play.
