Jin is basically stapled to my party now. She's awesome and if any hero in this game sums up the term "badass", it's her.
Melonni I always used a ton; less now, but even so. She was the first to get upgraded armor.
And also Tahlkora and Gwen. Tahlkora's just cute in how she's so determined to be a hero and everything, and Gwen is Gwen. I think there'd be something wrong with someone who plays GW and doesn't like her.

really depends on what im playing. usually if im not on easy mode running the 3 necros, which ony 3 characters of mine can, my heros of choice are Koss, Jin, Dunkoro, Olias, Zhed. i usually rotate those 5 depending on the area im playing in.

Will I get strangled if I say Norgu? His interrupts have saved Ebia's arse more times than I can count.
I'll play it safe and stick with Acolyte Sousuke, hehe. He's cute, useful, and usually the last one alive to Rebirth us all. MoW (runs Gui's build almost as well as she does), Ogden (seems to fail slightly less than Dunk and Tahlk), and Acolyte Jin (goooooo BHA!) are pretty far up there, though.
Also, it's fun running Pyre and Gwen as a synergizing combo (him on BHA conspam and her on interrupts... together they stop anything!), if only for the irony factor.
