Keyboard layout and UI
Aeacus Ares
How do you have your keyboard laid out? Do you click your skills? Do you use the 1-8 keys to use your skills? Do you use letter keys to use your skills? How do you have your User Interface set up? Post a screenie of it.
thought this would be a cool place for people to discuss how they have there keyboards laid out and how there User Interface is set up. Since i havnt seen a topic about this yet(and im surprised).
If this in the wrong place move it.

Esprit
My A is next to the S which is next to the D, and the W is right above them. That's how I move if I don't use the mouse to click.
I use the top row number keys for rows because I am an OCD mouse clicker and can't stop myself from constantly rotating the camera or clicking the same enemy over and over as if it would help it die faster, thus preventing my mouse from actually clicking a skill.
I bound a couple keys to my additional mouse buttons for better interrupting as well in an effort to hide my poor reflexes.
My UI has not changed since GW came out.

Yelling @ Cats
I use hotkeys for skills 1-3, and click the rest (which is usually where I keep the long recharge, maintained enchants, rez, etc etc)
MercenaryKnight
I am similar to yelling @ cats, I use 1-4 and then click 5-8 generally. I also leave longest/ hardly ever used skills near 5-8 and the spammed skills 1-4 so I can hit them easier.
headlesshobbs
skills 6-8 ain't really that easy to hit when you're in the middle of something and I preferred to have my skillbar placed in the bottom-right corner. While it's easy to just flick your pointer down there, this also leaves more room to view around your character.
turbo234
i click to move everywhere and have qwer/asdf bound to my skills. anyway isn't there already a thread around here about this?
SpyderArachnid
My Interface.
And I use WASD to move around, sometimes click to move. Use tab to target, space to attack, and use my mouse to click on my skills.
Zzes Tyan
I use W to move forward, S to move backwards, A to strafe left, and D to strafe right to move, 12345 for skills 1-5, Z for 6, Q for 7 and E for 8. I always turn using the mouse.

WERD (well it's really ESDF but I mainly use WERD)
Skills: 1-6 on number keys (yes I know 6 is with the other finger)
7 - I can do this on the keyboard with my left hand but it's quite a stretch
8 - click

WSAD
1-8
Place H/H flag Mouse4, Remove flags Mouse5. I have fast fingers, so I don't need to sacrifice my ZXC to move the character.

Depending on what i'm doing i either click my skills, or use 1,2,3,4,5,t,g,b
And use macros to quickly change weapons =P
I also have a macro on my mouse to ping a target.

Q usually gets the snare or self defense skill, R gets interrupts, E usually for an emergency skill. Mouse 4 last target, Mouse 5 next target, Mouse 6 and 7 are generally not used but I sometimes put weaponswap macros on them. F for closest target, X for autorun.
I use WASD to get around but clickmove to micro kiting.

The default interface works just fine for me. I use WASD to move my character around but tend to swing the camera angles with the right mouse button. And I click my skills. I've never even tried to go by the numbers.
Tearz1993
only change from default is Q E R and Y for weapon sets.
Operative 14
Pretty much default. 1-0 are the skills with 8-0 linked to the same skill (so I could mash all three in Kilroy's ). I suppose that WASD are linked to movement, but I rarely use them. Arrow keys for movement, right shift to target nearest enemy.
I mostly use my mouse for skill usage and targeting however, the exception being when I need to activate a skill series that needs fast selection. For instance, my Ele has Fire Attunement and Aura of Restoration in the 6,7 positions respectively, so when I need to activate them I just reach up and tap both. Also, the forward and back buttons on the side of my mouse I've linked to forward and back movement. So that, in combination with right clicking to rotate the camera, allows me to move my character around one handed when I feel lazy.
Oh, also I have a G15 keyboard. The only macro I created was for Kilroy Stonekin's when I was grinding away at survivor. It just mashes 8908908908 (never realized I actually hit them in series like that 0.o) over and over again, so in the space of less than a second I can recover 15 energy when I go down.
