Hello there!
I am trying to get a hold of a specific skill and having some difficulties retrieving it.
To obtain the skill i have to talk to a Luxon Scavenger which i have.
The problem is, is that he says that i have to have achieved Rank 1 of the ''Friend of the Luxon'' title track.

Now, apparently i have to earn 100k faction points with them to get rank 1, is that true? Seems like A LOT. I get like 750 rep for each quest i do and the quests are quite time consuming.
I have aprox 10k faction points right now. So its 90k more to go, to get one spell? =/
Is there any simple way to get the points needed? I tend to solo all quests and dungeons since i just started after a long break (2.5 years) and dont know anyone.

Easiest method is to do Alliance Battles, Fort Aspenwood or Jade Quarry to earn faction.

Jade Quarry is the fastest way of gaining allegiance points at the moment. You should also take the Zaishen Combat quest for the Jade Quarry, for extra money/faction.

It shouldn't take you too long, maybe 2 days. If you donate your faction to your alliance, it gets doubled so you'll only need 50k.

Luxon and Kurzick faction are the easiest points to earn in the game. So 100k isnt really much, especially considering to max that title track it requires 10 mil faction. Like the others said, JQ, FA, and AB are quick ways to earn faction, you can earn up to 5k faction in one match. You can also try vqing a Luxon area while under the affect of a Luxon bounty. One vq can earn you up to 20k+ faction, which is then doubled if you give your faction to your Alliance.

Thanks for the quick responses!
I'll try the different battles then and abandon questing for now

One more thing, the concept of ''donating faction to your alliance'', que??

I have 10k faction points with the luxon, donating that to the luxon increases my faction points? I'm sorry but that statement confused me =S Can anyone explain please

If you are in a Luxon Guild that is in a Luxon Alliance, then the option to donate the faction to the Alliance will show up. If you do not happen to be in a Luxon Guild, just ask and someone will let you in. Donating to the Alliance doubles your points for the Friend of the Luxons title track.

Your guild does not have to be part of an alliance. A single guild is considered to be its own alliance and you can get the doubling bonus for donating faction to it.

you do not need to have 100k unspent faction points (dunno if thats possible to hold that many at once?)
you need 100k in your title of friend of the luxons title track for rank 1
note: if you have more kurzick faction, the same skill will be available from the kurz reward guy(with a different skill name) at rank 1 kurzick

100k is not possible to have, as the max allowed if you completed all bonuses would be 72k.
Luxon and Kurzick titles provide skills, but they are the EXACT same skill, with the exact same name. The only difference in the skills is the icon, and the title they draw their stats from.

During the H tab, i see my Luxon rep now at 17k/20k.

When i tab to my titles track i have eye of the north title, norm title, tyrian explorer title etc.
But i do not have a Luxon title tracker.
When do i receive that?
I am on the Luxon mission .... Hatchery something. Protect some turtles from the Kurzick attacks. Find the mission rather hard alone but it must be doable.

But do i get a Luzon title tracker when i have cleared all missions?

Not until you have dontated some faction to a Luxon Alliance, or earned TITLE points from a few sources like the Young Heroes of Tyria or Shiro's Return books.

Roll a PvP character, the most common profession in JQ is the monk, get the skills and equippment needed for the RoJ build (if playing a monk) and start doing JQ (balthazar faction is easiest earned by doing the zaishen elite). As you'll get 3.5k per win, and that doubles for your title track if you donate it to your luxon guild, you'll only have to win [100k/3.5x] 29 times, and as you'll get some factions when losing too, you'll have to do even less games. And it goes even quicker if you have the JQ zquest too.

Hello and thank you for the replies.
Joining a guild seems to be the only way to earn a title then =)

Jade Quarry. It's a "competitive mission"... it's sort of like Alliance Battles but with a bit different objectives. You can get the quest that leads you there from either House Zu Heltzer (Kurzick side) or Cavalon (Luxon side). Same with Fort Aspenwood (FA).

At any rate, it's probably been said already, but you'll need 100k title points, which is only 50k faction on your "H" screen if you donate faction to your alliance. So, if you choose to do that, you'll need exactly 53,000 faction; 50,000 to donate to get rank 1 of either title and 3,000 for the skill after you get the first rank.

Joining a guild is a good idea, especially for someone such as yourself with legitimate questions. However, if you don't want to join a guild for whatever reason, you can make your own for 100g in Kaineng Center and pledge your guild's allegiance to either the Kurzick or Luxon side for 500g at House Zu Heltzer or Cavalon respectively.

No idea what you guys are talking about, except some kind of speed run but i doubt i am ready for it as you mentioned =)

One more question to ask: Whats an efficient way of farming money these days? In the possesion of a necro, ranger and warrior. Can any of these farm efficient? After the 15k Luxon armor which i think looks awesome!
The mats are hideous, need so much =/

Edit: I have a lot of items from prophecies. Golden/green weapons and pets such as Gwen, mini varesh and some other green/purple/golden pets.
For the green weapons i've been offered such as one ecto for a weapon or so or a couple of platinums only. I dont see why the weapons are looked down upon so much, the stats are perfect.

Well, I'm not particularly adept at farming, but when I needed money, I logged onto my warrior and ran people to Temple of Ages, Ascalon, or Sanctum Cay. I've not done that in awhile though. Save up the Imperial commendations and other such trade items you get from various quests and turn them in for superior identification and salvage kits, and put said items into your storage so any character on your account can use them without having to get a set for each and every character. If you have Nightfall, you can rake in a lot of money by collecting all of the treasures scattered around Elona with several characters. Full list is located here. Another suggestion I have for you if you have Nightfall is to plan out your skill acquisition. Many skills can be obtained from Hero Skill trainers for free if you're willing to make a list of them and work on the sunspear/lightbringer/EOTN rep titles to gain the needed hero points, doing this will save you plenty of platinum and skill points.

I usually did runs as well, but i doubt any of the prophecies runs are worth anything today due to Factions and Nightfall.

Although i can do the other things you mentioned Thank you

Why are greens worth nothing? That should answer that question.
