Each special event has awarded its participants with novelty items, IE Santa Hats and Pumpkin Masks. However, using the current delivery system I have been awarded none. This is not because I am lesser of a Guild Wars enthusiast or because I do not participate as often as others, but simply because I happen not no log on that particular DAY. This has left myself and my brother, both leaders in the guild The Magi, disheartened by the one-sided nature of this delivery method. I am sad to say that we will both stop participating in this game because of this. How hard would it be to make a /claim emote to receive the prizes, or even allow them to be purchased like other items during the month of the event. It would be interesting to see what will come of this complaint and yet I still have found this experience to be one big letdown. It is the small things that add up.
-This was my complaint to GW Support. I didn't exspect them to do anything about it, but I yall could brew about it.

I don't mean to offend, but they can give stuff out whenever they want. It IS disappointing to find you've missed out on something cool, but you can't expect ANet to cater to everybody.
If everybody on all of GW got exactly what they wanted, the game would be a shambles. Sometimes, you simply have to do what works for the greatest number of people without going to an unbalanced extreme. I think that if everybody got the items, regardless of whether or not they logged in on a certain day, it would take the fun out of actually getting them, or having something special and unique.
Simply put, while I really do sympathise with your predicament, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with your solution.

Being a guild leader and leaving your whole guild behind, all because of a novelty holiday item is...appalling. Anyways, the complaint is between you and Arenanet. If you feel you need to make some sort of suggestion, do so in the suggestions forum.
Unfortunately, pity threads such as this never result in anything worthwile, so I'm gonna close.
