tbh with that little ammount of cash youd be better off doing doa/dungeon runs/vsf/uwsc cause you aint gonna make a hell of a profit on a sub 100k item. time/money.

doa = 70-80k 1 hr 30 - 2 hrs
uwsc = 10k a run 20-30 mins (most pugs fail)
vsf = 2 chest items with chance of voltaic, 5-15 minute run
soo = 2 chest items with chance of bds, 10-15 minute run
froggy = 2 chest items with chance of froggy, 10-15 minute run
kathandrax = 2 chest items with chance of e blade, 10-15 minute run

once you get some more cash then look at power trading minipets, everlastings, bulk ectos/armbraces.

Hate to tell you, but if you have to ask, then you aren't ready to start powertrading. You could do something like buying a stack of feathers for 9.5k and selling it for 10k.... but that isn't powertrading, its the same concept, but not the same thing. You want to be buying items that cost 100k+xxecto and selling them for 100k+yy ecto. If you aren't seeing a profit of 10-20 ecto, it is a small time item.

I disagree 100k is plenty enough, I started with 2k 4 years ago and have never farmed.
It's all about multiplying your gold, with farming theres always a set amount you can rake in but when your good at trading the percentage just keeps ever increasing. Choose something to specialize in and KNOW what the prices are inside out don't guess at it, never spend more than 25% of your stack at a time unless you know you can move the item very quickly the more items you have the more active your trading...
Try and wait untill someone posts a WTB that's the only real time you will get full price for your item take advantage and over price it...

Good luck

First off like stated in many of the above post you are going to need more funds. 100K + 50 ecto should get you started at least.
1. Go to the high-end forum and see what is popular what the Buy outs and current offers are, basically do some homework on the items.
2. Once you get a feel for what things are selling for you can start spending huge amount of time in Kamadan (nightfall) looking at the WTB and WTS post. Try to find out what is actually moving and look for items you think you can move.
3. Make your first purchase, look for something that is fairly popular and that will move fast, aside from mini-pets, prices tend to drop over time. The longer you hold on to a generated, non-consumable item (i.e. not like a Mini Zhed or alcohol) the less it will be worth as they continue to drop therefore increasing the number in the market.
4. I know they tell you to make 10-20 ecto a sale, but honestly to start out try to see if you can squeeze out 5-10 to start building up your funds. The more an item costs the more potential for profit there is.

Note - you also need to realize that the B/Os on guru are usually inflated in hopes of scoring big

I think the easiest is buying armbraces for 43e and selling them for more. While youre doing this at kamadan ad1, you can look for profitable deals. So i'd say "around 100k" is not enaugh, but "around 50e" is enaugh.

Uh, well personally I have stopped playing and but I have to agree. 100k is kind of low to start power trading. When I did it I started with a lot less but personally I think it is easier to start if you go in with like 250k-500k to start with. You can buy anywhere from 1 to like 5 nice weps/mini's/tonics(all depending on the skin and the q and if you buy all weps, all mini's, or w/e).

So, to get to my point of why I am bothering to post. Pm me you ign on guru and I will give you 100k in game to help you get on your feet.

With amounth like 100k. Best way trade probably is some minipets, and overall just common stuff, what ever, tomes, common weapons, upgrades etc. just to earn bit more cash.. After youve got atleast 100e. (or less if you got good knowledge on values) you may start Trading with items.. tho its way more risky, time consuming and requires knowledge..

As Plekki said, Start off with low-end items such as Minipets, Modifier upgrades and Tomes if you really want to get into powertrading.

It is also a good idea to change between Euro and US servers to keep an eye open for any differences, because sometimes you can buy cheap on one server and sell high a minute later on the other one because of price differences.

You need to learn all the prices of the items off by heart so that you can keep a good eye open for good deals if and when they crop up in tradechat (Keeping open the P menu for other districts is also a good idea if you can follow both at the same time). just make sure that you never have more than half of your cash bound in items you wish to trade for at once in case you see the deal of your life. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing an amazing WTS offer and you don't have the cash for it

100k is plenty to start with. I don't consider myself a powertrader in the least, but I made over 2M in a week or so once I found a niche, which is the key. Find something that you know is valued for one type of player, and not so valuable to another - then buy low and sell high. Good example: q6-8 tac, AL14-16 insc shields. PvP monks want them, but those hardcore pvp'ers don't pve enough to get one as a drop and typically don't want to spam WTB in Kamadan, LA and KC - because they are busy playing pvp, of course. These guys are cash rich from earning z-keys all day long. This is where you (or me, as it's my example ) come in. Go to where you know these types of shields drop often (hint: Rata Sum) and buy them for 1k-20k, depending on the A/E Rata Sum farmer's knowledge of their importance, gussy them up with a +30 handle and the en vogue pvp mod (vs. piercing, for example), then hit up GToB where the pvp'ers hang out (or even venture into their HA territory - Int'l district) and spam WTS for b/o of 23 z-keys (100k) and bam, you're rich. Also, post here on guru for b/o of 100k - same difference. But now the secret is out and a new niche must be found - GL and HtH.

Thnx for this great tip. But one question, does the shield has to be gold? Or can it be blue as well?
