Books really were one of the worst ideas.
They take up inventory space and were just another cheap trick to try to get everyone to play the same content over again.

Isnt that what the ZB and dungeon books are for? Besides, there are a crapload of bosses in GW. A book for killing them all is a bit overkill.

I think perhaps a boss related title would be better. You are already getting xp so that would be unnecessary. Books do take up too much space.
Of course this would be just more grinding for title seekers, but it is something that really can be worked on as one progresses through the game. With the boss bounty already in effect for z-missions it would be killing two birds with one stone. And heck we need another level after god walking among mere mortals.

Zaishen Bounties does what you want. Why have two when the second is not only unnecessary but also does more harm than good?

This. While I don't think they were the WORST idea, they do take up room and did bring another aspect of grind-your-face-off to GW.

Too much overlap with what already exists. Just because we have a book for a few things, does not mean we need one for EVERYTHING.

Another inventory slot I gotta waste.

Well there's no need really for a book to track the bosses or another grindy title. In saying that, books weren't a terrible idea. Sure they were put in to get people to replay content, but what they give you is a reward for going back through the content, an incentive, but not an absolute necessity.
The intention is that you give the book back so it only stays in your inventory while you are working on it. If you have more than one book then it can take up space, just learn to manage your workload a bit better! Sure it's nice to keep them too if you like collecting them but they are there to get you to play more and if you don't like playing then why are you bitching about the books being there?

There should be a book for successfully filling all the pages in every single book, because that would be totally awesome. It could be called the Adventurer's Encyclopedia.
There are other books, why not one more?
/notsigned for this idea for reasons stated above
Redundant book is redundant.

I wouldn't mind a book for bosses, but include GWEN rep points as a reward since they're so ridiculously grind-hungry

I would actually like a Bestiary book, if not for GW then for GW2, that works like how Diablo 1+2's "Enemy info" worked.
For example, for a few kills, say 1-9, you only get a name and a pic in the book, about 10 you get a write up, 20 the creatures HP, 40 you get the attacks it uses, 80 you get told what the enemy is weak against. Would be useful to working out strategies and also for showing off how many you killed. What it drops should be seperate and update only if you get it's drop, or one of it's drops.

It has been said that books have a limited number of entries by design. But how many bosses are there...?
I'd rather have a feature to unlock green items one by one. That way even the ones that no one use will have some market, since many people would want to get them all.

meh, this would be kinda cool, but they are all done for skill capping and vanquishing pretty much. besides, soooooo many bosses to put in a book, lol.

just increase the requirements, since 10/20/40/80 peaks are too low.

Kill 300 of each enemy, I'd say.
