Unfortunately it's uninscribable, but granted it dropped in Nightfall, it's moddable.

Just wondering whether it's worth anything if I slap on a fortitude shield handle, or if I should merch it. White drop.

Ye... modding with a Handle is possible (if it dropped in NF like you said), but it's not worth anything.
Still the inscription would be missing.

I'd definitely merch it.
