Hi, whats the best way to run 2 clients at once? I used to use the registry method but I formatted my hard drive and I lost it. Also I heard of GWx2 but don't really like it. Is there a better program that can do it? Thanks!

I use GWx2 in combination with a .bat I wrote myself to update/copy updates. Otherwise I think there is a program called Multi Launcher or something, it's probably in the community works forum.

I use Guild Wars Multi-launch to run 2 or more clients. Works very well.

Thirded for GWML. Especially the way it can create shortcut icons for each of your clients.

Yeah GWML is suprior to GWx2. And supports Texmod, so use that.

I personally run the dual installation hex/registry hack to run multiple sessions of GW. Works like a charm.

I guess that's what you're looking for.

Why do people want to run multiples in the first place. I know it is somewhat off topic. I just never understone why?

It is the only way to transfer your items from your accounts on one computer and securely. I never trust people holding my items to transfer. That's why I transfer them myself with GWML.

^what he said.
With my two accounts, it's a simple matter to collect two sets of collectibles for Nicholas, then run both accounts to the man himself using GWML. I have a perma-pre on both accounts for the same reason.

How about taking multiple accounts into dungeons to be able to open the end chest several times per run.

Think I'm gonna stick with my two-computer deal... at least I know from anet that it's supported unlike these programs that they won't give a CLEAR answer about...

Take one computer. Then go on. Then take another computer. Then go on.

Is it really the best way to have to use 2 separate sets of mouse and keyboard? I've never tried it myself but it seems simpler to just have 2 games running windowed, side by side on a nice widescreen monitor.

I agree with Kador, last Dragon Festival I was running four independant machines for four accounts. Now, doing it all on one, with one screen and one input is much easier. Easy to select a different window and do whatever needs to be done.
