Griffon Farming Locations

I've been farming outside Augury Rock for somewhile now and found the little cove of griffons around the corner from your starting point. I kill hyrda and I've gotten real good at it however its such a chore to put up with meteor. Can I get clear directions on how to get to some heavy infested griffon locations without having to be worried about being knocked down to death. Thanks in advance. I don't have the EOTN expansion so lets keep it in Elona, Cantha, and Kamadan. My build is fine, I kill anything that doesn't hex. I'm a ele purist basing my entire build around Master of Magic and prismatic armor.

You can go from Augury Rock to the Griffon cove without having to fight any Hydras. Just watch your agro bubble and learn the patrol routes.
Griffon farming is not profitable, so if that's what you're after, go look somewhere else. If your doing it to get an idea of how farming works, or simply for fun, then go fot it.

Could you might suggest a good place to farm without hexing or knockdowns then, thats really why I wanted to farm griffons in the first place but if there are more profitable monsters out there for what I want then that would nice to know. Thanks.

The best farms are UW/FoW/DoA/Urgoz/Deap.
Take a look at PvXwiki.com or the Ele/Farming section on these forums. There are many builds, where they are used, how they are used, etc, etc.

I'd say, either get EotN and get I am Unstoppable!
Or just learn the patrol route as mentioned above.

Anyway you can go E/W and slip Balanced Stance or even E/D and bring Fleeting Stability? Both will help you get around the issues of Knockdowns.
MagmaRed
Griffon's in The Scar, right outside Destiny's Gorge. Just go left when you enter The Scar and you come right to them. There will be a few Rock-Eater Scarabs and Dune Burrowers to deal with, but they don't hex or knock you down.

Desert Griffons are warriors.
If you have access to Hard Mode, try the minotaurs outside Ice Tooth Cave or the Stone Elementals in Old Ascalon, outside Sardelac, both in HM. Your build should work for them as well, and they are very easy to get to.

The griffins drop iridescent griffin wings which when salvaged net you 5-7 feathers each, save up a stack of feathers (250) and then sell for 10k ish, solo this takes about 30-40 mins to get about 50 wings , which give or take is about 250 feathers , so not a bad place , just need to know what to farm.
Do it in hardmode and you get a load of golds too.

He also asked in a later post what other farms are availible to an Ele without Hexing and KD's. There are far to many to list, and the general forum policy is usually to point those asking for builds/locations towards the farming/profession section.
