Wow! This is a nice forum.

I haven't logged on in a long time, and I haven't played the game in a while as well. Gosh, I wish a farming forum was up three or four years ago when I first started the game. A lot has changed.
I've been having good luck feather, hydra, minotaur, sand ele and Jade construct with my original beta GW monk in Proph, lol.
Recently I've also been trying to tweak by build for sand ele farming for granite in the Crystal Desert. HM is very difficult there.
There is so much more information on wiki now that it's mind boggling. Just the information id and salvage kits alone helped me make wiser decisions about selling, trading and salvaging for both common and rare materials.
In L.A. I have never seen so many people buying stacks of raw materials. 10k for a stack of feathers, WOW! I had a stack sitting in storage for 4 years with no idea what to do with it. I had no idea people would buy this stuff in bulk. So, I've consistently made most of my cash selling raw materials. It's easy and fun. I'm up to 113k in gold. It doesn't sound like much. It ain't get rich quick, but it's like the old Dean Witter commercials: "Make money the old fashioned way: EARN IT!"
In the early days there was nerf after nerf, unending. The whole in-game economy was a mess. Monk runes ran like 70k each and the only option to get anything in-game was to buy gold from sweat shops, but now things seemed to have ironed out very nicely.

Killerminds, you are distributing disturbing information!
But @ OP yeah farming with a monk is fun :3
The thing is, the reason why you got more money is that the value of money got less as everyone now has money. I don't think I can name a single player I know that doesn't have 100k. So though there is a lot more honor in 55hping (in my opinion, if you disagree you dont have to reply to it, no flames needed) then in SF farming in UW like above noted, which is imo the lowest thing possible in the game, UW scum
But saying the economie is now more stable is a lie imo. Nowadays rare items cost 300e+ while others only 1k, the gap just got huge. That gab wasn't so huge when only prophecies and cantha were here. So gogo f*ck off nightfall

I've always found the good ol' elementals outside of Sardelac the best choice for granite. HM, of course.
Nice to see an optimistic post from a returnee

funbun, there are consumables now and that's why people are buying all the materials for so much. Superior runes are generally worthless now, which is one of the reasons they are cheaper. 600 monks have largely replaced 55s but unless you have factions, don't worry about that. Nerfs still happen, but now they update skills every other month.

And as to your guild (noticed in your profile), just press G for guild panel and read the name at the top. Then click on Guild Hall button to go visit it. If you don't have one anymore (a real possibility if it didn't belong to you) then visit the Guilds section of guru and shop for one to join.

I wonder how high Ecto would get if SF was nerfed (I still vote for: you cannot deal damage while under SF< since when can shadows deal damage? o.O).
Reminds me when I 600'd for the first time, years ago, when Ecto was at 9k. Way before that, with 55/SS, I recall it being 12-15k
