greetings learned bretheren...(I)kiss kiss..
i am a newish ranger/monk. i have been offered a resurrection signet by lina the healer. i have to adventure with someone else to get it. now. what constitutes adventuring together? silly question, but, for instance, i need someone to travel with me to the gatekeeper at ascalon and open the gate so i can get through to find his (torin's) brother ben to the north of the city.
is this an adventure together? 'cos he (she) is not coming with me! they have to pull the lever to let me out...
if not, what's in it for someone to help me? would it be considered a quest? or just a good deed?
adventure together?

You have to party up with another human player. Than go outside into the explorable area and talk to Lina, that's what she calls adventuring together.
Easy way: If you spam the name of the quest someone will join you and leave when you've got the reward.

As for the Across The Wall quest, just ask in local chat for a gate monkey. Someone will respond and help you with the gate.

The idea is to encourage grouping for quests, apart from those quests its usually hard to get a group for quests. Usually its better/faster to just grab some henchmen and go (Henchmen are not available for you atm).

But as has been said, you really only need to form a party and go out to see Lina, to complete the quest. (you can get the rez signet from a skill trainer in post-searing too, iirc)
