[DVDF] Is recruiting
Shanaeri Rynale
Ladies and Gentlemen welcome and thank you for looking at the first ever DVDF alliance recruitment thread ! We currently have a limited number of spaces for new members, so please read on to find out if DVDF is right for you.
The DVDF alliance consists of two sister guilds, the DVD Forums and Greener Pastures, both guilds share the same [DVDF] guild tag, forums and Voip. Created in May 2005 DVDF is built around long lasting friendships both ingame and real life. Our goal is to make the alliance publicly known as a quality place to be. Famous as being a community of nice, mature and experienced players, operating all around the world, in all time zones. A community with members who will get recognized as both being competent and helpful when they enter towns. A community which does all that while still relaxed and focused towards having fun. A community not forcing anyone to do anything they don't like but offering everything there is in GW.
To achieve this we have carefully put together an alliance recruiting only the nicest and most competent of players, people who share the same goals and values who work together as a team through Guildwars to Guildwars2 or whatever game draws us.
For those players not familiar with us then please feel free to visit our website or wiki pages where you can find a full list of our alliance achievements. Here are some of the most notable.
• In the Canthan New Years events of 2008 and 2009, the DVDF Alliance farmed and donated over 336 complete sets of ingredients so that players could get the crate of fireworks and maximum gifts. The DVDF Alliance held giveaway events in a total of 152 districts, for the duration of the event and helped an estimated total of 32,200 people
• In the 2007 Canthan New Years events Guildies farmed and donated over 38 complete sets of ingredients in order for all players who had not got a pig or rewards to obtain one. The Guild held giveaway events for over 12 hours and helped an estimated 3000 people
• DVDF was awarded Guild of the Week on 19th June 2007.
• Been on the Guild ladder for an entire season (highest rank was within the top 150)
• Won and held the hall of heroes multiple times
• Pioneered several PvE builds, including the clearance of Fow, Urgoz, Tombs, underworld with all mesmer teams, B/P in FoW and Yellow way.
• Ran all Ele, Ritualist, Assassin, Monk, No Weapons and warrior fow teams to demonstrate that the holy trinity of warrior, ele and monk can be broken.
• Held and owned Kurzick and captured Luxon towns in factions for several weeks
• Contributed to all aspects of the community on websites such as GWO, Guru and in game.
• DVDF members have been voted both female and male "Mesmer of the Year" in a large annual Mesmer gathering.
• Staged several free hand out events to benefit players of all levels (e.g Christmas eve some Guildies spontaneously spent 3 hours giving out gifts to new players in Kamadan)
• Players have been mentioned in the scribe for acts of kindness (Dec 14)
We are the archetypal alliance organised and disciplined from top to bottom offering to members the opportunities to get things done. Within DVDF you will find an exceptional playing environment, with the atmosphere and activity levels of a large alliance but also with the maturity and relaxed feel of a small family guild. Respect for fellow players is at the heart of DVDF’s mantra, so our members have the ability to fully enjoy alliance/guild and VOIP chat with like minded people who can discuss without arguing and can still have fun without descending into immaturity.
Of course all the necessities of an alliance are here too, that means full guild halls, a beautiful website, a wonderful active forum and the opportunity to take part in all aspects of guilds wars.
We are looking for players who want to be part of a community where attitude is key, which means any potential DVDF member should be the kind of person who plays guild wars for relaxation and enjoyment, not for arguing, raging and hours of solo grinding, but instead for helping, chatting and teaming whenever and where ever. Any potential members should be looking to us for the long term, not just as a home in Guildwars but also as a gaming community for the future of their game playing activities.
In order to keep the DVDF alliance such a wonderful place to play we have a set of rules governing the behaviour of our members, any potential member must read these rules and decide if they are the kind of person who can follow them without the need for officer intervention, if they cannot or disagree with any of these then DVDF is not the place for them.
With the all DVDF members being over 18 years old any potential member should also be over the age of 18 years old (please note we may ask you to verify your age).
