Best runes for Spirit Rit?
Desolation
using survivor insignias atm and a superior vigor rune.
vitae runes or?

Since you're a spirit Rit, I'd say you should go for the Shaman's insignias...+15 armor whenever you have 3 spirits up is pretty good. As for runes, go for minors in whatever attributes you're spending in, and vitae on the rest is fine.
IronSheik
Shaman on chest/legs or all.
minor channel/communing head, +1 spawning/+1 resto whatever you're using.
Rest vitae
minor channel/communing head, +1 spawning/+1 resto whatever you're using.
Rest vitae
Perfected Shadow
superior Channeling/Communing (+ superior Spawning too if you want but that's too much hassle for me
) when you're pooping the spirits, then swap back to minor for combat. Shaman's are good but I looked at the price, and also considering that you're gonna have to get another armor set for non-spirit based builds for different insignias, I just stuck with survivor + vitae.

I went with the shamans as suggested didn't cost me a penny.
Been farming for feathers outside of la and the armour remnants dropped have been full of usable runes.
I got loads of Survivor runes selling those for 500g each as well as the stalwart and radiants financed the whole thing.

i would go with max energy tbh.. What u have been sugested is good 4 the low energy needed 4 the sos build. Bt when u get to use mre defencive spirits like the rt lord builds u will struggle.. Its just my opinion but max energy is the best set to use 4 overall.. Usage
but gl!

Tenebrae
Chamans>all if going spirit spammer. Use some energy runes if you want but with Spirit Siphon energy shouldnt be a prob.

you obviously haven't heard that more energy =/= energy management

I'm just going to come out and say it. What the hell does "=/=" mean? I have NEVER understood this and google doesn't yield a search for it. ._.
Anyways... lol @ radiant/attunement on anything other than farming.
Once you're out of energy what will you do then? Hmm? All that "EXTRA" energy you have is not there anymore so you are stuck with dead runes whereas you COULD be having a perma +xx health since vita/survivor never go "dead" on you.

Well you can use 1 spirit , siphon , move and repeat. Rit lord is better for those "prot" spirits unless you plan on using FoS or somethin.

The radiant and attunement runes are about as close as a rit gets to e-storage, mighty was vorizon is used like that too, but it's not great cause you lose your casting bonuses. Shelter, Displacement, ect are expensive. Energy is like ammo, bigger clip gives you more to work with before you have to reload.
The +15 from shamans might be nice but that only puts you at 75 armor, still soft, with shield, 83-91, and if you're using the communing stuff you don't need to be in the middle of the fight for long. Even with the offense stuff which has longbow range, you drop em, get painful bond on your enemies, summon spirits, then back off and watch their health and the yellow numbers fly. With the shelter/union you can stay well back with like 3 superior runes(hypothetically, a sup channeling to beef siphon, sup spawn to beef the spirit HP and sup communing with the communing headgear, though personally i only use 1 sup in the attribute I'm summoning in, and I rarely summon from more then 1 attribute, either channeling, resto or communing) if you wanted and never get hit unless your front and mid line falls(which it shouldn't if you're doing your job with shelter/union).
I know from experience, if you want to maintain communing defense you have to constantly summon spirit them to heal them, even with siphon, I'm sucking on my allies channeling spirits in addition to my own getting hit by a blood rt hero. Every pip of regen and bit of blue bar helps keep the defense going, and that's what radiants give me.

With shelter at 25 energy and the other 2 Comm spirits both 15. On top of that your maintaining Rt lord, 10 energy and Boon of creation, 10 Energy. Now, how are u ment to cast all that before a fight without the use of radient runes? without a Bip or very accurate casting of siphon spirit you will not maintain your energy for very long.
Unless your fights are very short and you take minimal damage, any drawn out fight will leave your Rt without a hope of maintaining spirits. After 1 full cast of of your bar u have only 10 or so energy left.
Tbh any set of runes u use isnt guna help u maintain the energy u need, but i guess thats what a party setup is for.. you dont take a rt lord unless u expect alot of damage and in which case u take some sort of Bip or BR / Para class aswell....

Aother way to look at it: a higher energy cap increases the time the energy pool is regen'ing and thus increases efficiency.

A newbie rit player chiming in here.
I haven't played a spirit spamming rit very long, but it's quickly become my very favorite class. And it's just so much damn fun!
I didn't go with the Shaman insignias, because, if you're spamming your spirits correctly, you shouldn't be in a position where you need the extra armor. I used radiants and attunements and I put up my spirits, run to the edge of the battle, use Summon Spirits and back the hell out of there respamming as needed. Spirits have longbow range. As a squishy rit you should be out of range right? Your spirits are your weapons? Correct? I never run out of energy because of Boon of Creation, I never run out of spirits and the only time I've died was because I did something stupid during a solo HM vanquish.

I use shaman's insignias, sup vigor, minor spawning, 2 attunement, and superior channeling/communing based on which build I am using.
If you have moderate to high spawning, boon of creation is good for reducing spirit cost. Especially if you are an SoS channeling rit. Turns SoS into a healing battery. And spirit siphon is good e-management in general.
