Rules for PM Proxy Offers
I will accept maximum proxy offers by PM. I'll use the same style seen on eBay auctions. If you're concerned about sniping bidders and you're comfortable taking my word that I will not abuse your trust to inflate the price, feel free to PM me here on Guru with your maximum offer.You must PM them to me at least 12 hours before the end time. I will not tell anyone else what your maximum offer is. If someone posts a bid and you've PM'ed me a higher proxy offer, I will adjust the c/o to make you the high bidder by 105% of the posted offer. If your proxy offer is the same or less than 5% higher than the posted offer, I'll adjust the c/o to your proxy offer but no higher. So if you've already PMed me a proxy offer of 30e and someone posts a bid of 29e or even 30e, you will have the high bid at 30e. (Situations like this are the only time I'll allow a c/o to be outbid by less than 5%.)

If two people PM me equal offers, the oldest PM is accepted first. If more than one person PMs me a proxy, I will adjust the c/o to be 105% of the higher proxy offer. While I will not tell your maximum offer to others, I will use your Guru name when adjusting the c/o to a proxy bid. I will make a note if the c/o is from a proxy bid to alert other bidders. Since I have to do this manually, there will be times when I can't update the OP immediately after a bid is posted to say that there is a higher c/o by proxy. I will PM folks who post an offer if they're automatically outbid by proxy as soon as I update the thread.
